46 I went here a few times but I can see why it failed to impress. |
8 *** CLOSED***
I used to drink here in the 90s. Came back in 2012 and it’s closed. According to barman in Los Gatos, it may have been closed since 2010 (last review is 2008). It was good back in the mid 90s. Don’t waste your time looking for it now.
This seems like useful info for beer travellers. To enter this review I have to give scores. I have chosen the minimum scores. |
36 I stopped here around 3pm before a Sharks hockey game. The innards of this massive building are adorned with lots of light wood booths and tables. It has very high ceilings, and seems very warehouse-like. There is a front patio and a rear patio. A decent-sized bar is on the left as you walk in. They had a standard flight of beers with 1 seasonal offering. Happy hour deals were decent with some half-price appetizers. I had the loaded nachos, which were very large and fair enough. The bartender working there was clueless when it came to beer, but she was pretty attentive and friendly. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. Shoddy and run-down. Dirty and dingy. Average food, uneducated employees, boring beer, and filthy facilities. I don’t have a reason to go back. |
52 Nice bustling setting downtown. Loooong brick warehouse space, converted into a well-organized watering hole. High celings, exposed brick walls, outdoor movies in the summer...what’s not to like, really? Sidewalk seating, bar, dining room, another bar, another dining room, big old patio. Place is huge. Kind of a factory that way, but they serve ok food and beer, and the tvs come in clearly. I’d be more excited if I was there getting all wound up to go to a Sharks game or something. As a place for dinner and craft beers, though, it’s ordinary. Worked my way through 9 samplers that never really even made it to "good example" levels, let alone great beer levels. |
64 it was pretty crowded as there was a game at the arena. i sat at the bar and was serveed real freakin well by the hombres there. homies hooked me up with round the clock service. the beer selection is limited. they only had the stout, golden ale, amber, amber lite (yea right, who on this site is drinking this?), brown ale, the wheat, the fruit beer, and the maibock (special) on tap when i was there.
Thursday nights from 9-12 is $1 half-pints. good night to go to try all these brews. but after that you’re pretty much over it. didnt try the food. and dont plan on it after reading what Uriel had to say. |
44 I liked tied house the first two times I went. Then, I got food poisoning. So, not so much a fan.Their beers are ok, but the food leaves something to be desired. Also crowded, especially when there’s an event at the Arena. |
76 May 1998 on my itinerary, long before launching into Ratebeer. Remember it as a groovy joint with good beers. |
