2017-06-20. Busy spot right in the main drag with views of the train station and the mountains. Servers were friendly, the beers show promise but were mostly just okay. Beers seem to have a bit of a house character, yeast character or maybe a touch under attenuated? I can’t quite place what it is. Dinner was very good - I had the Brewers Barley Salad with chicken which was very nice and we shared a goat cheese cheesecake for dessert that was excellent. (Seems we did better with the food than previous raters! Hopefully that means it has improved?) A giant raven landed just outside our window while we were eating! Definitely worth a visit while in town, but you come to town for the scenery not for the brewpub.
Along gone when I was traveling in Canada a fun sports bar with reasonable own beers and food service was friendly only were there many large groups and there by a little too much noise which was a shame but ok place to sample some beers
Not a bad little sports bar on Jasper’s main drag. They do the sampler thing like down in Banff too, and the beer quality is similar (but the brews are different). Food was not bad but not great, okay staff, good place to sample some local beers if you’re in the area.
Place was a bit too noisy for me. A sportsbar with a lot of TV’s and the music on the radio pumping out of the speakers. Yet it had a nice athmosphere (if you delete the noise). Lovely bottle-filled wall and spacious bar.
Fast and friendly service, and finally someone not to pushy.
Price was very good. 6 tasters for 14 CAD. We had Poutine to eat. Apparently a typical Canadian dish. It was ok, but since it’s the first time I eat it, I could not compare. Yet as a Belgian I think it’s weird to drench you fries in a sauce full of cheese. Anyway, I liked it.
Basically a carbon copy of the Banff Ave brewpub. Same mediocre quality of beer and fairly steep prices. Nice comfortable interior and very friendly service. Certainly worth a stop in this tourist trap.
Nice place to stop in Jasper for some fresh locally brewed beer. Can be sure to always have a good time and get some decent beers too. Their IPA and Stout are definitely their 2 best beers but for a guy who likes bigger beers I was impressed with their Pilsner and Cream ale. For something different the blueberry vanilla is a very artificially flavored beer however it is very well balanced between the flavors and beer. Service is something to be desired...especially if its a Friday/Saturday night and then a Sunday morning as Jasper turns into a party town and there’s usually always a party going on here. Staff seems overwhelmed however it is still a fun place to be. Food is average and good but being the same owners as the one in Banff I don’t understand why they don’t have the wicked menu that they have there.
