I love the place, you have to know where it is, cause there is no sign outside the bar. You take the stairs and you arrive in a pirate ship decor. The beers on tap are pretty good and always changing. I love this place!
Located just off the strict tourist area of the city, this place is a must-visit for beer hunters in Québec. From the outside it looks like a deserted den, but as soon as you scale the flight of stairs, you will find yourself in a cozy, slightly alternative pub with great, friendly staff and a really good selection of decent Quebecuoise beer on tap and well known Belgians and Germans in bottles. There is no real food but there are some snacks to be had, which fits the ambiance of the place quite well. Not expensive. I would love to be back again.
An unassuming door leads you up a flight of stairs and onto the deck of the Night Boat! Very cool bar and seriously unpretentious. There is not a huge selection but the quality of taps is excellent. Belgian bottles can also be purchased. This is a great late night hangout with chilled out customers and great staff. I enjoyed a cheery Friday night with the RB crew and stopped by again on a more relaxed Sunday evening. A large screen was showing the ice hockey but with no sound which was fine by me - the soundtrack leans towards rock/metal tunes. A highlight in Quebec City.
Great selection of Quebecois beers. Difficult to find as it had no sign out front. The owner/bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly. Well worth a visit. I like metal music, but if you don’t the atmosphere might wear on you.
Certainly a different vibe. Very testosterone, loud metal music and metal decor. Bartender was great, selection was ok, maybe 12 taps of Quebec stuff.

The best craft beer bar in the city.
10 taps rotating taps from all around the province. They also hold "IPA night" every wednesday with about half the taps dedicated to it. Imported beers are also available in bottles.
If you’re hungry you can bring your own food or order some for delivery.
I strongly suggest to check out their facebook for the opening hours / tap list. Also check if they’re holding a special music event that day as it will heavily influence your experience there since it is a small space and it can get quite noisy when its full during a show.
Music playing is mostly rock / metal.
Lastly, note the address before going and look for the green door because there is no outdoor sign :)!
