Town central pub called Carriages in the basement of a hotel. It looks like a hotel lobby bar with modern design and comfortable seating. Ten hand-pumps, but few of them active at my stay, some kegs and a few bottled beers, including some of the BrewDog classics. Helpful and attentive service offering tasters of their draught ales. Not far from the railway station (visited 18.04.2016).

Looks recently refurnished. The telly and radio competing with their noise. 7 hand pumps, incl Scottish micros.

The Brentwood Bar is located on Crown street in the basement of the Brentwood hotel (it is not immediately obvious that there is a bar there!). Has a fairly dimly lit hotel restaurant/bar feel about it (as you might expect). Tied with Archie Simpson’s they provide the widest selection of cask ale in Aberdeen at 10 hand pulls. The breweries on offer are not the most exciting but 50% is usually taken up by Scottish ticking fodder. Plenty of stuff like Houston and Strathaven are waiting for you. Solid value and quick service. Worth stopping past for cask ticking fans.

Very brightly lit cellar bar in a hotel. 10 cask ales, but mainly from large national brewers. Busy with oil trade, so more likely to be quite at weekends than other bars.

Located in the basement of the Brentwood Hotel. 10 cask ales, but not the most exciting range when we stayed at this hotel for three days. Most were well-known national brands, but also some local Scottish ales. The adjoining restaurant offers good food and seemed to be popular among locals as well as hotel guests.
