72 Nice bottleshop in the lower level of the arcades in Bern (you have to take the stairs down from the street level through a hatch which might be difficult to see from the pavement). The selection is not extremely large, but focusses more on quality than quantity. So you won't find the usual core beers, but more uncommon ones which makes this shop a very nice addition to the beer scene. As it is quite close to the train station it's worth coming in, getting a beer for the road and e.g. visiting the Bundeshaus. |
78 Bern's craft beer bottle shop and a must-visit if passing through. What sets this apart from others is the owners' attention to detail in terms of RateBeer description tags under each beer, and a couple of displays with books and information about beer and brewing. Seems if you came in with questions about craft beer they would be more than happy to answer them. Good range of well-chosen specialist beer, including some Swiss and international rarities. However, the entire shop did seem half-full which may be due to post-Christmas re-stocking. |

88 Outstanding bottle shop. Owner Roland is super helpful and knowledgeable about his offering. Loads of Swiss beers from all around the country. Good international selection too. Great attention to detail - shelf labels show ratebeer ratings. |

76 Super nice little bottle shop in the middle of old town Bern. In walking distance from the train station, downstairs in a basement. Selection of beer includes some brands which are fairly easy to get in Switzerland but also quite a few locals (Schuum, Strättlingen, etc) which are hard to find in bottles anywhere else. There are also quite a few Belgians and some Americans which I haven’t seen anywhere else. The prices are in acceptable range for craft beer in Bern. They appear to offer interesting events on a regular basis but so far I haven’t participated in any. They also seem to try to actively educate customers about craft beer by providing a lot of information (incl. ratebeer ratings) for each beer.
Definitely a place one has to check out when in Bern. |

86 Nice basement "cave" location centrally in Bern. Nice layout mostly by style with a few hundred bottles in total. Many small Swiss breweries and international. Uses Ratebeer scores on shelf labels. No 523 beers when I visited, but quite a few interesting AleSmith beers they had. |
