ManVsBeer  (3515) Hebden Bridge, England | January 30, 2015
Found up the hill past the northern fringe of the city centre, just beyond Morrisons on the way to the Valley Parade stadium. There’s a road that begins opposite the New Beehive Inn which leads to the pub only a few minutes walk away. This is a traditional pub with a fairly intimate feel to it, in part with its low ceilings and carpets. The serving area is to the right as you walk in and it’s a tight affair here with bar stools and a couple of tables in the space between it and the window. Elsewhere the pub opens out a little with a wooden platform area to the left of the central doorway that includes a huge screen for the live football that is shown here. There’s an area of seating to the rear too but it’s less atmospheric here. There’s a row of real ale pumps in between the standard keg beers and ciders and the options are decent enough, which included a seasonal Christmas ale on my visit.
