stopped by to grab beers prior to world cup party at buddies place. Ugly little garage style place. Odd selection of beers but some decent stuff. growler fills were very cheap but the girl didn’t know how to use system very well. i would stop by if in neighborhood again

Been going here for a while but hadn’t been in about 6 months. Its steadily declined in quality over time and is now barely worth the visit unless you happen to be walking by. Warehouse style, unorganized, selection is seemingly at random. One of my biggest grievances with this place is that most of the beer prices aren’t listed so you end up repeatedly having to take bottles up to the counter to check the price. Prices have also gone up and it is now as expensive (and often more so) than places like Bierkraft. i.e. a 12 oz bottle of Victory Dirtwolf was $4.50 here and $3.50 at Bierkraft, AleSmith bombers are $20 at both places (which is also absurd). That being said, the growler fill station is typically pretty good. If given the choice, head to Whole Foods or Bierkraft rather.

A total dump. Filthy, disorganized. Philly dusty bottles. How this ranked ahead of bierkraft is crazy. Selection was below average IMO also. Not worth a trip.

Based on the number of bottles you can’t really be miss by shopping here. There are some relative rarities and a good breadth. But there are also holes and it seems that the rest of the city caught up and kept going with more curated selections. There are growler fills as well, always good. I wish the hours were later.

Kinda dirty, but the beers are organized, and that’s what matters. Great selction. I found things here I could not find anywhere else in NYC area. Prices are okay, not over priced in my opinion. If it was not so hard to get here, i’d be here often.

Really odd place. Broken glass in the corners, dim lighting, shady entrance, almost like a grocery store from the mid 90s. Even more weird that they have fresh taps up front, like how could anything in that place be clean and fresh? Bottle selection is weird ranging from old de dolle and Southampton to new Bruery, to swill-deluxe. Service is interesting, some people courteous others clearly insane. There are some treats tucked away here and there, so if you’re lucky, you may end up with a story of how you sloshed through puddles in freezing ran to max out at two atms and drop $400 cash like that. Then again maybe not.

This used to be my beer store of choice when I lived in Carroll Gardens. It is rather large and there is a sizable selection of warm and cold beer. A lot of it is from American Microbreweries that are not so well known or so well acclaimed (Landmark, Lakefront, Cottrell, Saranac). It is also for some of these breweries that you will get the best deal in town (i.e. 7-8 dollars for a six-pack). When it comes to proper beer geek beers, this place is lacking. For example, they charge $9 for De Dolle Stille Nacht. In general their selection of foreign brews is not the best and one would think that many of them have been chilling there for too long. The service is not great either. There are always 6 employees in the store, but they never seem interested in the customers until they come to pay for their beers. In general, if you want a cheap sixer of something that you never had before, this is a good place, but New Beer Distributors is better in virtually every other way.

Solid shop in an easily accessed part of Brooklyn. The store itself is nice, well lit and well organized, and located right on a major street. The selection is very good, certainly more than ample for any beginner to intermediate beer drinker, with likely a few good finds for the seasoned drinker. Prices are, on average, average, with some stuff costing too much and some too little. There is also a growler station and the ability to purchase kegs, neither of which have I used. Overall a good spot to which I will return.

Decent place. Well lit and clean, well organized. The selection is not bad, but not much in the way of rare beers. The prices were on par for most beers, some bargains, some were overpriced. Overall a decent place, but I wouldn’t gpo out opf my way to get here unl;ess there was a sale or something. Decent growler pricing and selection, however.

Ventured in on a Sunday afternoon. Found what I was looking for which was Brooklyn Brewery Black Ops and Goose Island Bourbon County Stout. Had a good selection. Prices were not as good as NBD BUT...they did have shopping carts!!! Didn’t need to use one though. NBD, take note!!
