86 Note: NoDa has moved their main operations to the new location at 2921 N Tryon. This old location on N Davidson St still has limited hours (Wed, Fri, Sat), but check their website/facebook for exact hours.
Previous Rating: Visited on a Wednesday evening. Nice interior, with big windows behind the bar to show off the brewery equipment. 13 beers on tap when we visited including the weekly NoDable Series release. Sample trays offered, no food inside, but a really tasty food truck was parked outside. Birdsong Brewery is also located across the street. Most beers here were very solid, with a couple of notable standouts (Hop Drop n Roll and Coco Loco/ Imperial Coco Loco). Having just moved to Charlotte last month, this is definitely the best of the 5 local breweries I have tried so far. I really like what is going on here and will be back often. |
74 Nice spot with plenty of bar sitting. Lots of tap with plenty of serving options. I haven’t actually been as impressed with the beer as I was expecting and have enjoyed beers from a number of other local options more. That being said, there’s probably something for you here and is worth a visit. |
76 Stopped in on a lazy Sunday and found the room to be pleasant, spacious, and quite welcoming. Not as many taps as I’d expected, but what was there was quite good. All the NoDa regulars plus a few choice seasonals (like the cranberry gose, a brewers’ collab, and a peach table beer). Good place, good value. |
82 Nice building, with ample parking out back. You can walk to Birdsong brewing and hit 2 breweries in 1 parking lot so already I’m stoked! Inside is fairly large for a tap room with a bar area and plenty of seating. When I was here the place was super busy yet the bartenders were doing a good job getting everyone what they needed. There were about a dozen taps going, with several guest taps. The bathrooms were clean and well lit. No food on site but there was a food truck here parked out back. There is some outside seating, and my group just sat on the dock area out back. It was nice. |
78 Great spot! Small parking lot but there is ample overflow space across the street. Nice design, very open. Patio outside as well (which looks like they allow dogs). Food truck was there but we didn’t eat at all. Friendly staff. Nice selection of their beers on tap both standard and some non-canned ones. Wish they had an option for smaller pours, maybe an 8oz, to try their beers. They do offer a sample flight though. |
72 Not big enough as it was packed when we got there, when we left and when we came back later that day. Always a line up which means service is slow, but nice. Selection is decent with a bar only brew available. Beer is decent but nothing beyond good. A decent ticking stop with so much in the area. |
74 Crowded brewery - some excellent beers with a few misses. Ran out of flight glasses when we were there. |
88 Set in a garage like or loading dock area. You can smell the beer brewing as you walk in. Staff was friendly and helpful. Had flights of four available, you write down on card what you want. Very nice and friendly atmosphere. Will definitely visit again. Beers were great, imperial coco Loco was awesome, beers were fresh. |
76 Visited on a Thursday, early evening. Easy to find location in an industrial area. Parking was on the street or in a bigger lot behind NoDa and Birdsong. Very much a tap room setup, with a bigger bar, several tables and a patio. Nice setup. There were 13 house beers on, nice variety of styles. Food truck was parked out back, and seemed to service both NoDa and Birdsong, which is located next door. NoDa beer was available in cans or growlers to go. Friendly, prompt service. I enjoyed my brief visit. 76 = ★★★ (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time) I only use the total score, not the component parts. |
76 Before I visited Charlotte this brewery seemed to be THE place to visit. After visiting Birdsong and Triple C I wasn’t that impressed. The beers were tasty but so was the case also in Birdsong and Triple C. This place was really crowded and you had to yell to order. So I would rather go to Birdsong next door. |
