Lovely building. Food can be a bit temperamental between visits. Sometimes excellent & then others not so good which is disappointing. The beer ranges seem to have gone down as well, seeing less guest beers on tap. Still a fantastic selection though.

Large three story Georgian townhouse with an outside garden area. Service was very friendly, staff were chatty. Good selection of beers on tap, majority being Wild Beer's own with a few guest spots, there were also cans and bottles available. Didn't eat here but the food menu certainly looked very interesting. Definitely worth a visit.

Wild Beer Co’s first bar in a Georgian building in Cheltenham town centre. Around 15-18 keg beers on tap, mostly Wild beers but there were a few guest beers also. Nice little courtyard garden out the back. The food looked great but we didn’t eat on my visit.

Nice pub with a comfortable ambiance. Good selection of Wild Beer beers with a few guests. Flight available though not the most smoothly done operation. Food excellent. Good value for a flight and a few small plates.

Excellent choice of beers (keg dispense) although sold in 2/3 pint measures which was a novelty to some of our party. Tasters were offered. Slightly lacking in atmosphere at the time of our visit on 8 July.

What a fantastic venue! Have visited on a few trips to cheltenham and this place never fails with selection of beers and love returning to see new wonders available. Food is also fresh and really nice.

We visited Jessop House on Saturday 14th May 2016. Jessop House is a large three storey Georgian townhouse located very centrally in Cheltenham on Cambray Place. It is a lovely building both inside and out, 2-3 steps lead up to a narrow’ish door. I guess it’s tricky in this day and age to ensure that access to all is achieved whilst respecting what is no doubt a listed building, and whilst the steps aren’t insurmountable it might make for tricky access for those in a wheelchair. The inside appears to have retained much of the original layout, with rooms, entrance hall etc. The bar is ahead to the rear on the LH side and there is a lovely little courtyard garden at the rear, dogs are very welcome in this pub btw.

We took a while to make up our mind on the beer choice front, but with about 18-20 taps and a good selection of bottles and cans the choice was quite extensive. The chap behind the bar was friendly, chatty and very keen to help us in our choices offering tasters and making suggestions without ever being pushy. We both settled on our choices and Sat outside in the courtyard garden watching a couple of baby fledgling sparrows being encouraged by their parents to fly, the slightly kamikaze attempts were very funny. One of the staff was busy trying to sort out the large parasol umbrellas, we think that she (with the help of a colleague) was trying to change the canvas covers, I would have offered to help but found my initial attempt at small chat about the birds out here met with an indifferent response, so we mainly watched the sparrows and chatted to one another as she fought with the mechanism of the arms.

We both quite liked this place, though I did find it a little sterile and lacking in atmosphere. The beer choice was very good, it is a lovely building and the chap behind the bar was really friendly and keen, we finished off our beers sat on one of the tables out the front as we were meeting Loz’s mum Isobel. I would definitely return here and would recommend it as an essential stop on an Cheltenham beer crawl.

Visited on Saturday 13th Feb 2016. Just off the High St, this is an impressive looking place, 3 floors, bar in the middle with taps against the wall and chalkboard info. The ground floor was busy when we arrived as the rugger was on and plenty of people had stopped for food. We repaired upstairs and found ourselves in a nice little room, comfy seats and a really nice feel to the place. Some money has been spent on the decor and it’s paid off. Beer range was excellent with Wild beers plus a good range of keg guests and a reasonable bottle list. All the beer was good. Only gripe is that they didn’t remove the beers that had gone but only a titchy gripe at that. It’s a really nice place. Would definitely visit again and, with it’s central location will give the Sandford Park Alehouse a good run for it’s money as best place in town.

This is a large Georgian Townhouse just off the main High Street Shopping area in central Cheltenham. Beautifully restored, it used to be a rather salubrious, bad taste Cocktail Bar but with a very popular restaurant in the basement. The restaurant area remains in the basement, I didn’t pop down there to see it though, then the bar at ground level and a further seating, meeting area on the top floor, all very comfortable and tasteful. There is a long bar to the back of the building, in the modern, and yet, old fashioned style, the taps are behind the servers emerging from the back wall, I remember a few old pubs in the Midlands doing this straight from barrels. The choice is between 20 taps from what I could see, mostly from Wild Beer but with a good selection of decent guest beers. The staff are right on top of their game and very helpful. It seems a little odd that Wild Beer have chosen somewhere so far from their base to start in the pub game, but Cheltenham is certainly on the up and this adds a new dimension, highly recommended.
