58 Nice pub upstairs from the West Cornwall Pasty Co at the west end of the Piazza in Covent Garden. A small bar with a couple of small rooms and a nice outdoor area overlooking the square in front of the Piazza. Three or four handpumps with beers from Cornwall breweries St Austell and Skinners. Friendly and efficient service. Location is quite central so if you’re in the area and miss a few Cornish ratings you might as well drop in. |
68 Has got beers from breweries in Cornwall; Skinners and St. Austell on cask and on bottle. Nice outdoor seating on warm summer days watching the hustle and bustle in this central part of Covent Garden. Decent food and friendly service. (Monday afternoon, 03.08.2009).

50 A pleasant bar for some hand pumped ales. Nice outside terrace to relax and watch London go by. |
92 Yes, it is really cool. Impress the bar staff with your printed ratebeer list. Jaws dropped when I told them about Papsoe. For food it’s pasties. For ale it’s Cornwall. Skinners and St. Austell’s on May 22. Clunky litte areas - lots of up and down. Or sit on the veranda and crowd watch. Great place. Great ales. Ok, only five cask ales, but they are all from Cornwall, and considering the size of that area, this is a good selection. Tough to find those in a single place. |
66 This place is really cool. Beers from Cornwall, young clientelle and Shepherd’s Pies (or somesuch) below. I did have to state my intentions to the doorman (I’d like to try a beer) which was akward. |
56 This place is hard to find - atleast on a busy Friday night in Covent Garden - I had to call up Chris_O twice to locate the place in the crowd. When I found it, it was very busy on the outside terrace, but quite relaxed inside. Reminded me a bit of a fishermans hut. OK selection - but I only had 3 new ticks. |
74 A friendly place, nice staff. Very light and simple decor. Decent selection of well kept beers. The real attraction of course, is the balcony and the great view of tourists and street artists. |
76 Very friendly guys, great fishermans hut ambiance, good beers, very taste cornish pasties. |
62 I must say it was quite nice to spend an hour and a half here on a sunny weekday when the crowd was mostly outside. First, the Cornish beers are rather rare in London and you can expect to find about 5 of them. Second, if not crowded, the place, which is very small combines this fisherman’s hut interior with a balcony on the Covent Garden market which can be of interest for 10 minutes. You should come for the beer, but the rest adds up to the experience in a way, though I would not spend an evening here. |
40 Ambience can be quite nice on a summers evening if you manage to get a seat on the deck. Barstaff were a bit rude i thought, kinda like they really didn’t want to be there. Selection is sub par, with a few notable Cornish beers, but nothing outsnading. Food is Cornish pasties from the pasty place downstair, and while filling and delicious when drunk, isn’t really fantastic. |
