No Longer In Business

Not a bad bar but nothing worth going out of your way for, it’s just the kind of local English style place to go and have a pint and watch a game. Not a Ratebeer destination whatsoever unless you really need to tick Old Speckled Hen. Low rating not so much for the bar, but for the (lack of) craft beer.

Not sure why this place is on RB at all. Yes, I drink here often but mainly cos I’m waiting for my Indian to be cooked over the road :-) It’s a small community pub with a friendly atmosphere and good service. They have a handful of taps made up of all the usual beers you might expect to find in this part of the world. They have a dozen bottles too including a few Belgian favourites. Come here to watch a football match by all means or to sink a Westmalle while waiting for your curry, but don’t come here for great beer.

Some very predictable beers on taps. No casks. Couple of bottles. Lousy English pub. Wi-Fi was down. No need to visit ever again.

2 casks ales all the way from England. % taps including Old Speckled Hen and then the usual suspects on tap. Fun Pub Quiz every 2nd Tuesday. A few Belgian beers on bottle with a couple of interesting ones.
