Facing the mini roundabout at the foot of the castle inside its town walls, this pub has a traditional exterior, and a fairly traditional interior, but with a few modern touches here and there. Naturally with it being a tourist heavy town they cater for the single day visitors and the left side of the pub is set up for dining, the right side for drinking, but the staff will serve food to you here as well. The bar is in the middle of the pub and is the first thing that greets you when you enter through its central doorway, here you’ll find five cask ale pumps with a bias for local and Welsh microbrewers’, as well as a couple of keg options that may interest. There were no bottled ales in the fridges behind the bar that I could see. There’s a very small outside area at the pubs side which is partly covered.

New venture of people behind the Albion Ale House. On the corner with views of the Castle and Telford’s bridge it’s a good location. 5 handpulls featuring beers from North Wales breweries were on when visited on 13th June in the afternoon. Got a nice modern feel to the place, very clean and tidy. Staff were super friendly and gave me a pump clip of a beer I was taking a photo of to add to RB! Beer was well kept. Offers warm snacks only, no main meals. Really nice pub and worth a look in.
