64 Quite a large brewhouse at the top end of the market place, tucked away a little. There is some friendly banter to be had despite the main trade being quite foodie during the afternoon, drinkers are best off near the front. There was a small range of their own beer plus a couple of guests on our visits. Worth a visit when in Henley if not a destination brew pub. |
68 Big family friendly bar. Looked like it had a more restaurant are at back. Traditional wooden bar with 2 of own and 3-4 guests . Blackpudding scotch egg was nice. |
72 Live rating from here Friday 22nd March 2013. This is a smart, tidy place, wood and slate floors and tasteful if trendy National Trust type colour scheme. This place seems to be aiming at a more affluent young professional type crowd, however that doesn’t mean that some of them can’t be a bit pissed as two very well dressed women are on this visit. I had a Henley Brewhouse Rising Sun which was a citrussy little number. Its a nice little place that seems to be doing very well, six handpumps and about three kegs on offer on this visit with Bingham, Windsor & Eton and Hooky Double Stout alongside three of their own. Oh my the pissed up women are getting quite loud now :-) |
