76 Visited right after dinner on a Tuesday night. Was greeted at the door by a very friendly guy who explained the concept, directed me to the bar and also went over the food menu. The layout is beer store to the left, bat and food order area straight ahead, and table seating to the right against the windows. The design is dark wood, relatively low lighting. The bar side had a couple of very thin bars to stand at to have a beer, though certainly is not designed for folks to hang out and drink. to the The draft beer selection was 6 beers and 1 cider, well chosen and included Nebraska Hop God, Deschutes ’88 Imperial Smoked Porter, North Peak Archangel and Anchor Fort Ross Farmhouse Ale. The draft beer is for on-site consumption only, no growlers at this point. The bottle selection was housed in 14 coolers. Organized by style, chalk label above the cooler door, all beers sold as singles, marked with a drink here price as well as a “to-go” price. Nice and clear. Prices for on prem were OK, to go prices were high. They also have a 30 ounce minimum purchase for to-go beers, which was a little weird. Want that 750ml bottle? You’ll need to also purchase a 12 oz single to go with that. The explanation the server gave left it unclear whether this is a Missouri law, or a Bridger’s policy. Regardless, this policy and the high to go prices indicate they are primarily focused on on-premises which is understandable. Food I am sure is stellar I didn’t eat. Sort of a sandwich shop with a bottle shop tacked on vibe, which is unsurprising since this is exactly what this place is. Overall, nice place, worth hitting along with the other Westport spots. 76 = ★★★ (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time) I only use the total score, not the component parts. |
