46 Not worth the detour but drop in if you are in Mandal. They usually have the whole range from Lindesnes Brygghus. I found what I was seeking: Lindesnes Juleøl(Christmas Beer) and Njerve IPA. (Visited November 10th 2012) |
46 Small deli shop with a tiny beer selection. But they sell the beers from Lindesnes Brygghus here, thats a good reason to make a stop. |
68 Small place where half is beer and the other half is Italian delicacy. They have about 40+ different beers from Berentsens, Mack, Frydenlund, Aass, Nøgne Ø etc. They also sell Italian cheese, sausages, ham, pasta etc. |
36 In fact not an impressive selection even by Norwegian standard considering this is meant to be some kind of a beer and drinks (below 4,75% alcohol) store. A decent selection of standard lagers and a few special beers, last time I visit there were only two micros, both from Nøgne Ø. I think this kind of special store needs to have more micros to be considered worth visiting, ten industrial lagers don’t impress me too much. |
56 Been there a couple times. A tolerable selection of "grocery store strength" (below 4.75%) beers. |
42 Mandal is the southernmost town in Norway, quite sleepy most of the time, but really crowded during the summer months. That also reflects the selection in the town, and Mannen sure boosts the best. Still, even to Norwegian standards that ain’t much to brag about. It’s a decent shop though, and close by is the Vinmonopolet store, where you can get some stronger beers. Mannen isn’t the place you drive hours to get to, but when in the area, it’s sure a place to visit. |
38 Decent selection of Nøgne Ø and other Norwegian and world beers up to 4,7 % ABV It wouldn’t hurt to increase the selection of hand crafted beers a notch or two though.
Also features a walk in cooler where you can get many of the lagers on offer. |
