Well this is a weird one. Not only are the comments from the raters stripped out - alternatively they were all speechless - but it has this weird thing that the 200+ bottled beers, two-thirds of which are from the interesting end of the spectrum - cannot be drunk on the premises. All there is to be drunk is 24 beers on draught with four via handpull, all Italian, unfiltered & unpasteurised. How do you rate that? Also, in the country that invented top rate restaurants, how do you rate a bar (or do i mean city) that seems to think the burger has some kind of quality food offer behind it? This is a bar with burgers on a street that could be anywhere European, offering some off-the-wall beers and loads more, generally better, for takeaway. OK?

I went with some friends, after reading excellent reviews here on RB. It was quite disappointing: as Iznogud said before me, you simply cannot drink their bottles staying in the pub, you can only get them if you’re on the go; and it’s a real shame, because they are excellent. When I asked the reason for such an absurd decision, a waitress rudely answered that "she didn’t know, I should have asked to the staff director", who obviously wasn’t there. The pub overall is alright, decent beer selection on tap and a nice enough place to stay in; but without bottles and politeness, excellence is difficult to achieve.

Small to medium sized bar. When it comes to ambiance and decoration both could be better. Since we were a party of ten we didn’t mind, but if i was alone there is a chance it would bother me. Nice selection of tap beers, mostly Italian micros among them their own brews. Quite a good selection of bottles, some at decent prices. But when we asked for bottled beer we were told they are only sold to go. Explanation was the lack of fridges and the temperature of bottles. Even after I’ve insisted I was told there is no way they are going to sell me bottled beers to be drank on the premises. I’d understand if the reason was some kind of law or licence but such reasons weren’t mentioned. Didn’t eat myself, according to my friends burgers were great. We’ve spent the evening there and had good brews and good time. Very good place, could be excellent.
