A standard Vinmonopolet beer selection, nothing more. It’s in the middle of the city centre and maybe you stay at a hotel nearby? Worth a visit.(Visited December 6th 2014)

A quick in and out around the corner from Håndverkerstuene. Limited hours so visit before 6pm. A few Haand bottles, Ægir stuff, Belgian, German and Italian bottles and a bunch of juleøl. Larger selection than other Oslo stores but not by much. They are pretty much all the same but will have slightly different selection. Most or all items, I’m not sure, at these stores have a Best By or Brewed On date.

Small beer range, convenient if your are in the area, but you’re better off walking ten minutes to the Vika shop.

Note to tourists: in Norway all beers of 4.7% and above can only be sold in government controlled Vinmopolet stores, no real beer stores in Norway. Basically I’m just entering this place review to tell people not to go there. This is the Vinmopolet with the worst selection I saw in Oslo, basically just the regulars from Nøgne Ø and Haandbryggeriet as well as a few other crappy beers. Also it is only 10 minutes walk away from Vinmopolet Oslo Vika which has a much larger selection (supposedly the largest selection in town). There was nothing at Rosenkrantz gate that I didn’t see at Vika. Not even worth a visit, walk 10 minute to Vinmopolet Vika.

The beer selection at this place was a bit better than most, but still very small. Staff was very friendly.

A small Vinmonopolet store in the middle of the city centre (close to Håndverkerstuene). Usually a fairly basic selection of beer. Good selection of Nøgne Ø and Haandbryggeriet at the time of my visit. It was marked with "Locally produced" which was a focus area for Vinmonopolet last November. They usually have a good selection of Christmas beer before Christmas, and some of the rarities is usually available here. (Berentsens Brygghus Stelliger Divum Juleøl and Nøgne Ø/Jolly Pumpkin/Stone Special Holiday Ale are two examples)

Relatively small, but very central, branch of Vinmonopolet in the Oslo area. The regular beer selection is average Vinmonopolet standard, but the Christmas beer selection tends to be among the best in Oslo.
