I am pretty sure that the two floors of this cafe are separate businesses. It is the cellar bar you want. Gents young and old playing card games that really matter. Half a dozen draught beers from Latvia’s best micros, some (?? how many) bottles too and natty ancient-and-modern design. A great place to yarn away the time.

Very kindly staff, quick and cordial with the foreigners. Valid choose of beer, if compared to the other place in Riga that I’ve visited. Discreet menù but bot much size plats. In conclusion a good place at near distance to Freedom Monument.

The selection is good if we consider we stay in Latvia. I enjoyed the food and the waitresses are really really nice and well-dressed

I went to this place at about 3am and had a glass of Aldaris Kviesu. I did not visit the cellar bar downstairs but the best bit about upstairs is the fact that it’s open so late.

The real beer place (with a different name) is downstairs, upstairs has Aldaris selection. Alltogether I saw 6 beer taps + 1 cider tap and around 10 bottles. On tap: Aldaris Zelta, Kviesu and Gaisais, Carlsberg, Kiss Cider, Bauskas Gaisais, Ventpils Uzavas. Downstairs is open till midnight, upstairs till morning.

A good place to find a wide range of Latvian beer. There aren’t any of the really tiny micros here, but the taps are all from smaller regional brewers. Bottles are pretty close to the full range that’s available in Riga as far as domestics go.
