72 Went there with Panzerfaust and Negrido. Greated by a wall of beer bottle, serving as a menu of this fine place’s fare. The beer fridge in the basement floor is well stocked with Cerveza Chilena and good imports (UK, Belgium, Germany). Service was good, and then so was the company. Muchas gracias amigos! May 2006. |
74 I spent my Sunday on foot. A walk from my apartment in Providencia to Cerro San Cristobal and then a further walk to the aforesaid Museo. I had visited this place with Lilith and Panzerfaust earlier but to be honest my condition was not one that gave me a good orientation of the place. In the light of day and a sober thirst this was a delight. I sat outside and supped some more Chilean micros and had the enjoyment of watching the acrobatic antics of young fellas entertaining the traffic light delayed cars at the nearby intersection. They were hapy with my 3000 peso contribution to their professional cause. No food apart from some peanuts but from what I saw this is not the reason to visit this bar. Lovely setting and good company (thanks Paula and Cristian) in a fine city. |
78 Nice place near the Museo de Bellas Artes. It’s the cheapest place to find bottled Chilean micros ($1.500) around US$2.75. Lots of imports, mainly from Belgium and England. Very good service from the waitresess. It’s a bit expensive with the imports but cool place anyway. A must visit when in Santiago. |
