80 We visited here on Saturday 7th November 2015, a little later in the day and primarily for food having been tipped off about this place for food by Jack at Brewdog. This is a modern bar, so think lots of glass, metal, shiny and new’ish’. It is also situated in what appears to be a small new area called West One or something similar, however for orientation purposes if you come out of Brewdog and bear right and keep walking for a further 2-3 minutes you will stumble across it easily enough. We sat downstairs before realizing that food was upstairs. I never looked at the bar or taps instead we wasted no time choosing something to eat, though we were then helpfully provided with a beer/wine menu which seemed to show just beers on tap now and what was due to come soon so I didn’t get to see the bottled beer list. However the tap list was pretty decent we had Outlaw Roosters the Behemoth and Mad Hatter Nightmare on Bold Street I believe that both of these were keg. I had a Philly Cheesesteak at £8 and a pound extra for chips and Loz had a good cheeseburger which was similarly priced, perhaps a pound more as I recall. The food was good, the service was good and good beers also. I would probably consider it more of a food and beer stop, but perhaps on my next visit I should take a better look at the beer list (incl bottled beers) |
88 One of my favourite bars in sheffield mainly due to its decent bottled Belgian beer collection and proper glassware. A good selection of kegs from Anchor and a few other US breweries also. Food was excellent and good value. Excellent place. |
82 Quite a modern bar with an interesting selection of taps, some beers labelled as Portland Craft Beer on keg, which remains a mystery of its origins, decent bottle selection with a Belgian slant, drank Kwak from a proper wooden stand and glassware which was great theatre, ate burger here which was one of the best burgers I’ve had, really friendly staff, will visit again. |
