90 Visited the 8th November 2014. This place is about 5min by foot of the centre of Sheffield, on a small street. Really modern look outside and inside. Young atmosphere as a club with DJ and dark lights. The bar is on the centre of the place with a great selection of Thornbirdge beer with 4 cask and tap beer. The selection is great on tap and also on bottle with products from many countries of Europe and US. Really good staff who can advice you and help you to choice your beer. The price are also really smart. For me the best place in Sheffield and really better than the Brewdog for the craft beer selection! I recommend it, a place to be in Sheffield! |
78 Modern looking bar with la mix of Thornbridge casks and kegs. There is also a small selection of guests from UK and abroad. Decent bottle list. Good place in centre of Sheffield. |
84 Very modern and stylistic almost like a night club but a fantastic range of Thornbridge a few guest beers, Brooklyn Blast was very good, friendly bar staff. |
74 The key question with Dada is, can you make it past the hideous decor?
It looks terrible but once you get past that the staff are excellent and there is plenty of good beer to be enjoyed. Certainly worth a visit. |
80 DaDa in many respects is the antithesis of the traditional Yorkshire boozer. Does look a bit out of place and would look more at home in East London. Saying that, I did rather enjoy my visit. Inside it’s stripped back and fairly industrial. They had an extensive selection of both cask, keg & bottle. Plenty of Thrornbridge (as you’d expect) as well as a comprehensive selection of other quality craft breweries. Enjoyed a rather good half of Baize. During the week they have a bottle club, offering 20% of bottles so we consumed some Thornbridge hall beers. Friendly and knowledgeable service. A place sure to divide people people, but we had a great time! |
62 Most places in Sheffield maintain a pretty traditional appearance. This place sticks out like a sore thumb amongst all the fading factory buildings and tired pub facades. Dada’s exterior is painted grey and garishly scrawled with the word ’Dada’ all over it. The inside’s fairly spartan, minimal. There’s maybe 10 beers on offer including a few casks. Naturally, there’s a wide selection of Thorbridge beers available. The bottle list was decent. There were quite a few pale ales from America that were probably criminally old. The service was OK, but the barman sort of overreacted to the fact that he was serving someone who didn’t have a local accent. The value’s OK. Overall, I don’t see too much reason to come back here. You can find Thornbridge beers all over town. It feels as if this bar’s consciously trying to be different than other pubs in the area, but the ambiance just isn’t inviting enough to make this place a success. |
70 Quirky 'Art bar' just off the beaten track in the centre of Sheffield. Layout is questionable dividing the drinking areas and making the front presented to the street rather underused and so the place seems empty when passing. Not that there are many places to sit anyway, and the seating is an uncomfortable mix of second hand furniture. What saves it is the choice of beers provided by owners Thornbridge and the ultra cool vibe it generates. A must stop for beer lovers and people wanting to escape the West Street crowds. But maybe not a place to stay too long. |
84 Now called DAda, this is a rather swanky, modern, trendy bar, which has a range of Thornbridge on cask and keg (it is their bar after all) plus exciting choices from other national and international brewers. Great decor, including photo collaged tables. Loved it. |
70 Is now the DaDa bar and decorated in a fairly hipster, Brewdog-esque manner. Despite this they have an excellent selection of beers from the UK and abroad, with some noteable American craft beers available on bottle. Many Thornbridge ales too, as one would expect. Food range is limited, but high quality.
Not sure about the longevity of this one though, every time I’ve been it’s only been my group in there. Take advantage of it whilst it’s around! |
74 Now called DaDa and operated solely by Thornbridge Brewery who, contrary to popular belief, are NOT the people responsible for the Sheffield Tap, Euston Tap or any other Tap - despite the good relations between the two companies!
Good beer, fair prices, odd decor. Worth a trip! |
