Visited on 31st August 2016. Under Hungerford bridge with seating area alongside and Heart FM blaring out (taking a point off the ambiance) this is a temporary spot. Decent beer range with 8 on from One Mile End including a new beer. £5.70 a pint a little on the steep side. Service decent. Not sure I’ll be rushing back but handy place to scoop a rate in tourist central.

A fun little apt right by the Thames. Very decent selection of beers on offer, with an emphasis on London breweries. They even had a beer especially made for the shop. Fair prices, service with a smile. If you are strolling by the river, this place makes for a pleasant pit stop.

Look Mum, No Hands is a seasonal bar underneath Hungerford Bridge on the South Bank. It’s basically a caravan with an attractive bicycle-themed outside area. It’s a bit noisy when a train passes overhead but there’s a nice atmosphere and the beer selection is pretty good, with about ten well chosen kegs. (Visited 15 July 2015).

Located on the Southbank, just below Hungerford bridge - the postcode I entered was for the Southbank Centre, closest I could get, Look Mum No Hands Southbank is a pop up bar with 8 keg taps all from Beavertown and Kernel on my visit. Also a few bottles cans from London brewers (didn’t pay much attention, no new ticks for me, core beers only). This bar is just here for the summer season and shows an expiration date of 5th September 2014. Admins - being a good user I have set a reminder in my diary to retire the bar at this point. It seems it was here last summer also so could be a regular summer only venue? Prices were very good, £2.50 - £3.00 for a half, served in a plastic glass you can either sit there, in the beer garden (of sorts!), or stroll around the Southbank with your beer. They also have a food menu with ploughmans lunches and pork pies etc. They seem to only sell London breweries and on my visit this was 4 Kernel offerings, 2 brand new releases plus table beer and porter, they also had Beavertown stuff on tap, including a collaboration special brewed for them. A grapefruit and Elderflower saison by the name of ’Convicts Of The Road’. Service was prompt and friendly and I was offered a taster immediately. As a hardened ticker, possibly worth the detour to pick up the collab unless you plan to visit them at their main location in Hackney, that aside you may pick up a new Kernel tick and there isn’t a lot else of note in this tourist heavy area. Nice ’seasonal’ addition.
