Quaffs is a brand new offering in Central London and a fine one at that. Located 5 mins. walk from Liverpool St. station or even a brisk 10 min. stroll from Old Street, it’s situated among various food stalls which makes for a pleasant all around experience. Although it’s only just opened, there’s already a respectable selection of Belgian and Dutch offerings along with a range of Pitfield ales, some German and US brews and even a few Scandies, all at a reasonable price. There’s a good selection of trappists and lambics including a fair amount of Cantillon and also Girardin Black Label. I was a quite surprised to see Olfabrikken Porter and a couple of the Nogne’s on the shelf, so that just goes to show what you can expect. Chris and Sue are two of the nicest people you will meet and are happy to try and source anything, within reason, that’s not in stock. The selection will obviously change with time and custom, so the more of us that visit the more you will start see on offer, so get going!
