I guess they are currently looking for a new location, so this review is of the old Vasastan place. Pretty small place, but at least it’s still a lot bigger than the original Mikkeller bar in Copenhagen. Interesting decor. Impressive bottle selection and a nice tap list. A bit pricey, but still a must visit in Stockholm.
I simply love those Mikkeller bars. Went there during the week, somewhere late in the afternoon to enjoy some draught stuff. Possibility to get 10cl tasting glasses. The black girl who served us was really really friendly, passion for beers, knowledgeable. Seleciton on draught was impressive! Not only Mikkeller stuff, also some To Ol, some B. Nektar, Buxton’s... Value is conform the Stockholm prices. Overall this is (after Akkurat, and on the same level as the BrewDog bar) a place most certainly worth a visit when you’re in Stockholm!!!!
The been I drank was faultless but it suffered from the low level of ambience. Have since also visited both Mikkeller bars in Copenhagen. Will in future drink my Mikkeller beer elsewhere. Another reviewer here sums it up nicely: "Felt like a hospital piled with hipsters."
Visited Monday 16th March 15. Fairly quiet, but it was a Monday, the place had enough in to still have an atmosphere. The bar man was friendly and helpful and open to me having a taste of some of the beers. The beers they had on tap were a mix of Mikkeller, world class US beers and some quality local offerings, such as All In Brewing. I drank, Beer Geek Breakfast Bourbon and Vanilla Shake, Mikkeller Nelson Sauvignon, Prairie Pirate Bomb, All in Brewing, The Purpose of IPA. A couple of beer enthusiasts were there and we ended up splitting a bottle of 3 Floyds Moloko and a Mikkeller Black Fist, then I fell out of the bar.... :) there is no food, expect crisps and nuts, there is a German restaurant next door, which was recommend by the bar man, I went there and he held my tab open. Great fun
