Visited Friday August 8, 2014, after regular dinner hours.
This is more of a restaurant that has some quality beers than it is a craft beer bar or a place for tickers.
Located within walking distance from e.g. Mikkeller Bar Stockholm and Man in the Moon.
I had searched the ratings from brewery Nyckelbydal and noticed a few people mentioned finding beers from that brewery at this restaurant, so figured since I was in the neighbourhood I’d see if they still packed some.
Indeed, they carried two different bottled beers from Nyckelbydal, so I sat down by the small bar close to the kitchen and ordered the one of them. I was here after a long day filled with brewery visits, restaurants and bars, so just had the one bottle of beer before I called it the night.
Very friendly, fast, attentive, well informed staff. Especially when overhearing the staff talking to dinner guests they seemed to be very well informed in regards to the food. I didn’t eat, just had the beer, but seems they have a lot of Swedish styled "Husmanskost".
Cosy place with warm lighting, plenty of smallish tables for dinner guests, the small bar can seat a few people, but this is primarily a sit down restaurant. Still, no problem at all getting to sit at the bar for a beer. Paid with my credit card, no problem at all. They had two toilets, at least, clean and well kept. I seem to remember a small step though, so migh be difficult if you’re in a wheelchair or so. Like all places in Sweden these days it is smoke free.
The one 33 cl bottle beer set me back 75 SEK, which is not bad for Stockholm places.
Didn’t really check the draught beers, or ask about the other bottles, since I was here primarily to get a sample of the specific one brewery. Their list of drinks from December 2013 lists draught beers from Södra Maltfabriken plus a more standard lager. The bottled beers has two beers from Nyckelbydal, 5 other Swedish craft beers, a low alcohol macro, plus two ciders.
Again, not a place to go to if you are looking into massive amounts of ticks, then I’d say stop at nearby Man in the Moon, but a nice place to find Nyckelbydal beers, and perhaps grab something to eat? The food menu looks nice and doesn’t demand huge prices.
As with most of inner city Stockholm, parking may be hard to find, but this place is close to metro stations Rådmansgatan and Odenplan.
