54 When I visited: Fall 2013.
What I had: Gale’s Seafarers Ale, Maisels Weisse Dunkel, and Fuller’s Black Cab Stout on tap, a few glasses of Woolshed Sauvignon Blanc for the Mrs.
What I liked: Drinks arrived quickly and I was happy to try two beers that I hadn’t sampled before.
What I disliked: No visible tap list or food menus (had to ask the server), no bottles available AFAIK, they were out of the Rogue draft that I wanted and the bartender seemed bothered when I ordered it, somewhat sterile atmosphere, place struck me as a highly bastardized version of their other, much better location (Monk’s Table).
Would I go back? No.

74 Neat sister pub to the Monk’s Table on that odd stretch of Yonge south of Eglinton. Attractive layout and sort of a cozy feel even with the big glass windows at the front. Like the Monk’s Table the selection is Euro-focused but all interesting beers that you don’t normally (or ever) see on tap in these parts. Menu is a little limited but food is quite good. Service is friendly and reasonably knowledgable. Definitely worth a visit and best place in this neck of the woods since the Blue Meanie. |
