Fitting in a sense that my 400th place rate is in my hometown and on the opening night of said place. This place is a small little bistro-brewpub on the main intersection of the main drag in Trois-Rivières. No reserved parking available, but there are a few city parking options around. This was their first official opening night after a soft opening on Saturday and as any new place, they still have some kinks to work out: service was slow despite it not being busy at all (at least the staff was knowledgeable about their stuff), all beers served smelled and tasted like soap (rinse those glasses!). They are still running a shortened food and beer menu for the opening but the food looks promising. 5 beers were offered on tap in glass, pint or supersize format but I believe they have room for up to 10. The ambiance is kind of upscale, kind of old definitely not a grungy brewpub vibe. Decent place with good potential but I don’t see it as a threat for the other brewpubs in town, at least not in the near future. I’ll definitely revisit once they get settled in more.
