64 Nice clean pub visited on a,weekday afternoon, not very busy, service was prompt, food was reasonable value for money. Two pumps were however were not on.

70 A decent little country pub. I visited during a mate’s wedding party so I had an atypical experience - but a positive experience none the less. It’s a big place with lots of seating options and a nice outdoor area in the back. I gather on normal days the selection boasts mostly the classics, i.e. not much for the tickers. Nice ambiance, friendly staff. Perhaps worth a visit if you’re in Windlesham but certainly not a destination in and of itself. |
62 Traditional English countryside pub with separate restaurant area. Very friendly welcome and service overall. The food menu looked tasty yet unimaginative. The beer menu... Well it has 6 lagers, Guiness, Strongbow, London Pride and 4 English ales. Nothing special, no Dark Star. Unlucky? Not a beer destination at all but also not a bad pub at all. |
72 Great village local with large L shaped room around the bar and a separate restaurant room. Large beer garden with kids play area, some 25 or more benches.
7 hand pulled real ales usually available with Sharps Doom Bar being an ever present and more often than not Theakston - Old Peculier and Dark Star - Hophead. Regular guest ales from the surrounding counties and expect to find 3 or 4 from Palmers, Andwell, Windsor & Eton, Dark Star, Fullers, Hogs Back, Dorking, Longdog and others.
Food is first rate here and the fortnightly Wednesday all you can eat curry night is a must! |
