68 Visited on St. Patrick’s Day 2015. The food was good, service was fine and the Cycle beer on draft was the same exact brews we had in St. Petersburg earlier in the day. With the exception of Crank IPA. (which was very good) But really only a total of 10 taps, had it not been for Crank I would have had every beer at the place.
If you want to visit here you have to take into account where Pegs is located. It’s a block away from the beach so prices are on the high side. If you’re traveling on a budget don’t even bother coming here because you are going to bust your wallet. The ambiance is great, don’t get me wrong it’s a nice place but as a hard core beer nerd making a special trip here for 10 taps was really disappointing. I’m sure if you’re going for a event it is an entirely different experience.

52 Stopped by during a first Friday, so it was neat walking around this cool city with the art, and the crowd. They only had 3 Cycle beers on tap which was a major dissapointment. They had 4 guest beers. I enjoyed the food. Just wish they had more of a selection. |
84 Cool little spot that looks like it used to be an old house in Gulfport. A little cramped, but really quaint, a nice place. Service was excellent, really friendly and knew what was going on. Selection was slightly limited when I was there, but still a couple new ticks on tap. Food was all hand made and excellent. The original location for Cycle brewing, definitely worth a stop in the area. |
74 Beautiful setting near the water, lots of outdoor seating and a great vibe. I would love to hang out here if I was a local. Food was pretty darn good as well. Downside, and apprently this is a bit unusual, was the beer. They only had about 6 taps when I was there, including some fairly mediocre Cycle offerings, none of which were anything special. |
86 (Visited 07/2014): Peg’s Cantina is located in a pretty little port town of Gulfport on Beach Blvd, very close to the water. Parking is available on the street in front. The exterior has outdoor seating surrounded by trees and foliage. Inside, the space is relatively small with the bar on the left and a couple tables on the right. Pastel colored walls and a large chalk board behind the bar listing the available beers. Nice DIY touches in the wooden sample paddles and cardboard coasters. Peg’s has 11-12 beers on tap under the Cycle Brewing label. On my visit the list included Fixie Session IPA, Cycle Path IPL, a single hop Moteuka IPA, pepper Helles, Cream & Sugar Coffee Porter, Wheat Porter, Hashtag YOLO and Codename Shakefield "Florida Style Sour". The aforementioned samples are available in denominations of 4. Service on a weekday evening at the bar was good. The bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable about the beers. I did not have any food during my visit. Overall this is a great (former?) brewpub in a quaint little gulf town. I would definitely visit here on future trips to FL. |
80 Gulfport is a cute little town. Central, gulf coastal Florida’s version of California’s Los Olivos. Peg’s rests back from the street nestled among fir trees, tropical palms, small shrubs, trees, and vines. There is an attached covered porch for dining. On the opposite side, there is a patio with four tables, some with sunbrellas, and one family-style table. Inside is a smaller area, but has an attractive bar. Service is exceptionally friendly and attentive. Peg came out to talk with us for 10 minutes or so. Very nice and down to earth. There are several different food menu items depending what time of day it is or weekday vs weekend. All beers are Cycle Brewery’s of course, but they do keep a couple of guest taps too. I really love the feel I got from the atmosphere and the service. I highly recommend going. |
84 Nice cozy plaze. Small.bar. 10 cycle brewing taps.and a couple guest taps. Food was incredible. Service was pleasant. Prices were about normal. |
92 Another great Tampa beer destination. Ambiance is great, small house hut type feel, keys like. Waiter was very friendly, kmowledgable and made great recommendations. Selections were good, all taste stuff and 12 on tap. Food was absolutely delicious. Food and beer were more than reasonable for the quality. |
86 Funky house with a great vibe. Service was pretty good. Selection of beer was mostly from their son, which is pretty good. Food was fantastic, especially if you like heat, they don’t hold back. Prices were good for the food you get. Overall, worth all the hype. |
