94 This place kicks ass. The food is incredibly fresh and all locally sourced. Very nice beer list, good place. Damn good place. |
82 Visited here in Oct ’12 for my wife’s birthday - wanted to try someplace new. Small, quaint location, sparse but pleasant decor. Beer menu has about 20 cans/bottles of craft/micro selections - nothing earth stretching - but about what you would expect from a decent beer bar - Lagunitas, Oskar Blues, North Coast, Sweetwater etc. - no macros. Had two on tap from the somewhat local brewer (Gainesville) Swamphead. Menu was small (which I appreciated - don’t overwhelm me with too many optiions) and all were in the low-teens with appetizer in the high single digits. Everything is supposedly local and very fresh and excellent tasting. Will be back. |
64 Very small, hipster to hippie-ish type scene with locally sourced food served in small plate fashion. Food was very good- a bit pricey. Portions are very small. Best to order a lot of cheese and sausage medleys and larger entrees as even these can be quite small. Salads were divine- incredibly fresh. I added this to ratebeer since the restaurant clearly has a focus on craft beer. Two local taps from Swamphead in Gainesville, FL. These probably rotate quite a bit. Well thought out, though small bottle list. Old Rasputin etc. I had a fun time. Probably similar though inferior to Kool Beanz in Tallahassee food wise. However, Kool Beanz has a pretty miserable beer selection. I enjoyed it here. Overall, I’d say this is a good lunch spot but they are only open for dinner (??). Maybe a good place for hors d’oeuvres. |
