Visited July 2018.. placed a short walk along the canal, easy to find and might take 10-12 minutes to get to from the station.. Visited it on a very hot day.. The deco was a bit beach look in the nice way.. Lots of tables/ seatings.. Great selection of beers both on tap and as bottles / cans. Super friendly service.. They serve food but we didn't have any.. For sure a most visit place being in this part of London... Free wifi..

Modern, minimalist one room place by the canal on a corner of the Olympic Park. I visited on a Sunday and it was quiet. Good range of around 15 beers, keg only. Quite pricey

I visited at the start of a beer festival so not overly busy and lots of choice albeit no cask. Delicious meatballs in a baguette NY style. Modern decor. Would be nicer in the summer as has outdoor seating by the canal. I did the 388 bus from Shoreditch (goes on to Stratford bus station) as only a 4 min walk to this pub. Then afterwards was a 10 mins walk along the canal to Crate and Howling Hops, which are 5 mins from Hackney Wick station.

Nice little bar, along with the open kitchen Capich, right on the canal bank. Open space interior, modern, fairly good tap selection. Friendly waiter who offered some samples. Load of UK craft on tp plus some nice, albeit a bit pricey, bootle/can selection. Did not eat, but highly recommend to check out Randy's wings next door, some of the best wings in town. Good spot to hit with Crate and Howling Hops.

Visited on 1st April 2017. Single roomed canal side venue just over 5 mins from Crate. Modern interior with a fancy, Ikea like interior, booths on the right and a kitchen offering Italian American food in the corner. Bar has a solid range of beers on Keg. Five Points and Moor featuring heavily. Prices a little steep. Service was friendly and offered a taster of anything we wanted. Nice place. Would revisit

Walked here after watching Grimsby Town beat Leyton Orient on Saturday 11th March 2017. Croatian Tap Takeover (once the kegs actually arrived and were set up). Bright modern cafe like place with a kitchen in one corner: bit too foodie all round for me. Very American in my opinion, clean almost too clean looking for a beer venue if you know what I mean. Anyway I didn’t take to the place: beer and staff were fine but it’s not my sort of ’bar’. Too many hipsters. Scored objectively.

Fin  (1653) Innernzell , Germany | January 23, 2017

We visited here Saturday 21st January 2017 this was very handily located towards the end of our walk from Tottenham Hale to Olympic Park. Mason and Co is located alongside the River Lea Navigation and just after the Eastway and A12 roads in Hackney Wick. I am guessing that for most folk the Hackney Wick station on the overground is going to be the obvious public transport option to get to and from here. It’s alongside a number of other bars/eateries in what appears to be a newly created modern building called Here East which I understand previously housed Olympic Broadcasting Centre for the 2012 games. We tied this in with visits to both Crate and Howling Hops which are near neighbours across the other side and just further down the Lea Navigation and en route to the Hackney Wick overground station.

Inside (and outside) its modern and has an almost cafeteria style and feel to it. The bar is on the left and houses an impressive line up of taps (all keg) there is also a fridge on this side just prior to the bar. There was lots of seating in here and there was also some seating outside mostly long bench tables and it is clearly though not exclusively aimed at folk who wish to eat. A kitchen area at the rear was busy preparing meals. We opted to eat here and had two different dishes I had Italian Chicken and Loz had Eggs in Purgatory with Italian Sausage, though I have to say we were really unimpressed with both, they could have been cooked for longer, not great at all and served in a manner that just looked like they didn’t care, we should have complained but didn’t.

The beer choice was really good, there was a great choice of styles and strengths though we both went for big hitters, I had a Pirate Life DIPA and Loz had a Beavertown Gondoila Impy Stout. Service was good, staff friendly and overall we really liked this place, just not the food, but we should have said something rather than just leave food.

A pretty cool spot out buried out in Hackney Wick. It can be a little bit of a hassle to get here - c. 10-min walk from the nearest Overground station - but it is a good beer joint so worth the effort every now and then, especially when they host special events, when the beer range can be quite impressive.

The place itself has a modern feel, and they definitely seem to have taken a page or two from the manual of Scandinavian design. The canal-side location makes this an particularly fun spot when the sun’s out.

As noted, the beer range can be great here. There’s a good selection on keg, augmented with a steady range of bottles. Prices are a bit toppy, but you can order by the 1/3 pour, which helps on certain beers. Given that this place is owned by the folks behind Five Points, you can count on that brewery’s beers being well represented.

Mason & Co. also has a full kitchen with ’Italian-American street food’. I’ve not eaten here but the food does look good.

One qualm I would note is that this place tends to struggle with a high volume of customers, and during my visits the wait for a beer has been much more than I usually encounter at beer bars in London.

Overall, this is a very good place, and if not for the somewhat remote location it would probably be worth having on one’s regular circuit. For locals, I’m sure it’s great.

Modern looking ambiance on the front of the canal, just on the Northwestern edge of the Okympic Park. It sits alongside several other similar establishments, which made for a great buzzing atmosphere on my visit on a Saturday afternoon, with a few hundreds people laying on the grass and drinking in the sun. Service was friendly, they provide tasters I believe and they do serve thirds. I did not try the food, which looked better than you average pub grub, but this is a hybrid pub/ restaurant space. Selection of beers was very good and varied in bottle, while taps where also very interesting but I could not comment on the range and variety as I visited on a Cloudwater tap takeover day. At the same time, they still had some of the flagship Five Points beers and other London micros. Price are average to high. Overall, a very nice area and nice place and selection, I’ll certainly be back if the Mondon weather allows it.

Nice, modern place, good selection of London beers in bottles, obviously lots of Five Points, good selection of world beers on keg otherwise. Nice Italian & American food.
