Airside bar before you hit Gates 78-88 which is the Irish hub in Heathrow Terminal 1.
They used to have cask beer here, GK IPA, but the stick has gone - long live the stick !
However one of the keg beers is a marked improvement in the form of Windsor & Eton’s Republika Czech lager.
This aside there are 5 macro taps, usual susects, Amstel, Guinness, Heinekin but there are also a couple of bottles that are drinkable affairs - Thornbridge Jaipur, Meantime Pale Ale, Goose Island Honkers and Staropramen.
It’s a small set up with high and low seating dotted around the bar but offering views only of the Heathrow approach road and the walkway to the gates - this is no plane spotters dream !!!
Service was prompt and friendly, prices good for an aiport, Half a Republika, Vodka and Diet Coke plus some nice nuts for £7.29. They have some very nice nuts here!
Well worth popping in for a tasty pint of Republika if you have 20 minutes to kill before your Irish flight.
