We walked for a long while along the beach then wandered into this place for lunch. Great food, super kid friendly, lovely open air layout, decent tap selection of local craft. A perfect stop for our hungry and thirsty crew. Oh, and excellent service too!

Nice place. We stayed near this one and actually went to two others on the island, we liked this one best, as it was the most laid back, least touristy. Cute waitresses at all locations, some actually knew the beer, very friendly, very polite. Sometimes slow getting beer or food, but it was that laid back thing. Island time, don’t hurry, relax. Selection was okay. Always had 2 or 3 very decent options. Happy Hours is a great deal.

What I really liked about Kalapaki Joe’s is that is was not touristy. The atmosphere is like a sports bar and it was filled with locals when we were there. They have a decent selection of taps plus the food & service were good.

While I was only expecting some happy hour umbrella drinks, this place was pretty impressive. Not many taps, but possibly the longest beer list on the island. It was not cheap, but my ’value’ score is based on Kauai prices. Amazing view of the beach. Also, if you love PPV UFC, you will love this place. While you should be drinking rum based drinks out of a tiki-head glass with an umbrella sticking out the top, if you need a beer and want something other than Steinlager or Heineken (seems like the local favorites), this is a great place. *Rating is HIGHLY relative to the location*
