90 Not sure why it says this place is closed, I ate there a few weeks ago and it was packed. |
48 On the largely abandoned main street, this bar is an island of vitality. Big, hardwood bar in the front, very high ceilings, and classy saloon style. The bartender was very friendly, but she had little else to do on a slow Tuesday afternoon. They had three of their beers on tap, but the remaining taps were completely worthless (Bud lite, Blue Moon, etc.). The flight of their three was $4.25. This is a fun little brewpub, but nothing special. |
58 This was a pleasant surprise for downtown Ottumwa and has been open since September 2010. The neighborhood is not very inviting, but the interior was very nicely done. They had three of their own tap when I was there and apparently they have plans for four at a time. There are also taps with Bud Light through Stella and Bass. The three I had were decent and the raspberry wheat was actually very nicely made. The food menu looks promising, but we only tried an appetizer. I will definitely return to see what else is on tap as they apparently are having high turnover. |
