Stopped in while visiting my brother. It is a nice little store with a pretty good selection from all over the US. The best part about the place was the huge walk in cooler. It was very nice on the 85deg and like 95% hum day.

Florian’s is a great "diamond in the rough." Although it doesn’t look like much from the outside, or even inside, stepping inside their Beer Cave is like stepping into a beer lover’s heaven. Florian’s Market has a great selection of micro brews from around the country as well as some great Belgian beers. They also have great deals on some more generic brands of beer and different mini kegs each month to choose from. However, the help is just there to run the registers and are not really interested in beer talk. But that should not deter you from going in there with a list of beers you were always interested in trying because chances are, Florian’s has it in stock.

Florians is awsome. I was nervous about not finding the good off-licence liquor and beer store, and they had the selection I desired. Also Roopers in Auburn, which frequently seems to be considered better than Florians, A. had less of a selection and had no real ’rarities’, B. They wouldn’t except my out of state licence and refused me as a customer. That is bullshit, I drove an hour to get there, Thank you Florians, for selling me worth while beer.

Wow, I was really impressed. BY FAR the best selection in the area. Not even a competition. They carry breweries that I couldn’t even get in Connecticut (Jolly Pumpkin, Thirsty Dog). The only drawback is that it’s really just a convenience store, so be prepared to wait in line behind old ladies buying their scratch tickets. The staff definitely didn’t know a thing about what they were selling. That’s all fine with me, as long as the beer’s good.

Wow, this was a surprise to say the least! The selection here really surprised me - this is quite the beer store. Pretty amazing selection of imports, especially on the Belgian side. There has been a real increase in the amount of new beer, esp. imports that has been coming into Maine in the last year and you can really see it at this place. This store also is good on regional craft brews and had growlers I had not seen before from some of the really small Maine breweries (Rocky Bay, Oak Pond, Black Bear). Couldn’t find any Smuttynose Big Beers when I was there - that was about my only complaint. Prices are better here than around Portland. Pretty much self-serve, no one around was offering any beer conversation. I think this place selection-wise is on par with Tully’s and Downeast Beverage.

The first time I went here I stumbled on it quite accidently. I’ve been back a few times since, and I was rather impressed with the selection with this place. A walk-in cooler with regular coolers and some beer on display. They had several Belgians, Germans, etc as well as a wide variety of American Craft. Many of the domestics were relatively local, Maine and New England (Harpoon, Belfast Bay, Atlantic Brewing, Smuttynose) as well as a rather impressive selection of Dogfish Head, Anchor (mmm, Anchor Porter) and Sierra Nevada. I’d even go so far as to say that this is probably the best bottle shop in central Maine selection-wise. The employees have been friendly and accomodating to me the few times I’ve been there, though I was unable to ascertain if they knew much about the brew they sold. But with that kind of selection, there’s got to be a beer-geek somewhere in the equation. A new favorite! On a side note, I went to Roopers today too, and while I know there are several in the area, I was not nearly as impressed with their selection as I was with Florian’s

this is a corner store with a good beer selection but not the best in the Auburn area, Roopoers has a better one in the twins citys.
