How have I never reviewed this place! I’m slacking, but when I used to live in Maine, all of the beers were in the back of the store, off to the left slightly, as I walk in. Great selection of Maine beers and some New England offerings to boot. For all of the times, I’ve been here, I never bought any food. Decent beer selection for a grocery store but FYI to anyone reading this go to the Bier Cellar on the the other side of 295, they tend to have the best in the area.

This whole foods focuses mostly on Maine and regional craft. Not a huge selection but fairly well curated. They also have a taproom passed the checkout with 24 taps of almost all Maine beer. Frankly my rating is more for the taproom than the store which elevates this location over many other Whole Foods.

This was the only thing open when I pulled into town but I was pleasantly surprised. Lots of locals, most very fresh. Inexplicably found a couple different four packs of Hoof Hearted beer and wine nice new England beer.

We swung past this centrally located Whole Foods primarily for food, but as ever got distracted by beer. The store itself is fairly large by Whole Foods standards and contains the usual selection of premium foodstuffs and beverages. The beer selection was decent enough and covered international, national and also some local stuff. Nothing particularly rare or obscure, but there is plenty of decent stuff to choose from. Probably worth a look past, but there are much netter options in town for takeaway beers.

Solid selection of national distribution and locals. A better bet to find a local rare tick then some of the more traveled spots.

Had a less than inspiring visit last time, but, things are improving here. Big store and parking can be iffy. Beer selection is large and packed with a lot of selections, including some less common stuff and a good representation of locals. Prices competitive with other places in the area. Did not eat here. Friendly staff.

Exactly what you’d expect for a Portland Whole Foods. Good selection of locals, imports and major craft brands. I’d give a bit of a bump for food because of the range of pre made and done in options. There are better spots in the city for beer, but this is a nice option.

It’s a whole foods, so you aren’t really in here for the ambience. Service was fine. Good stock of bottles from not only the big US crafts, but great regionals and tons of interesting world beer.

Stopped here on a recent trip to Maine and found some decent local stuff. Also some ciders and meads...favorite find was sap house dry hopped blueberry mead. Prices were consistent with whole foods stored near home...slightly high but expected. Selection seemed pretty decent but not out of this world.
