This was the brewery that first introduced my to craft beer, and set the bar for my expectations of brew pubs. Walking distance from home an d work was big benefit. Ahead of their time for the area.

This place is now CLOSED. Per the owner, Tim Suprise, the location needed significant upgrading, and they chose to shut it versus put fixes in. Also according to Tim, they would look for another downtown Battle Creek location. That was as of early September 2017. No new activity since then as to "where" or "if" they would reopen in Battle Creek. They continue with their Kalamazoo location.

Pretty spare ambiance and atmosphere. I sat at the bar. It was an empty afternoon, so the bartender was not busy. She was very friendly and attentive. Good selection of drafts including one firkin. I had a tuna sandwich which was decent, but not stellar. For American Craft Beer week, my flight was only $9! Overall, a good visit in downtown Battle Creek!

Nice ambiance, view on the brewery, nice service, nice explanation on the products, we had lunch and food was good. Nice small shop, we bought some packs of beer before leaving. We’ll be back.

I have never been blown away with Arcadia beers. When I think of the great Michigan breweries, Arcadia sometimes gets left off the list. Going here helped to get them included. Their year-round bottled beers are average to me, but I had a couple beers at the Brewpub that were upper echelon. The ambiance is cool. It is relaxed and the setting is unique. It looks kinda run down, but they are a pretty classy place. Not in a way that makes you feel out of sorts if you fail to have a dress shirt on, but it has a nice class about it. They have some specialty beers available at the Brewpub that were a game changer for me on how I view Arcadia. If only these were available in bottles! The service was good. Everyone was nice, knowledgeable and helpful. The food was great! I don’t know how to express how great, but it was great! Go get some of their food now! They were just a touch pricey. They know how good their food is and you will pay for it, but I did not consider any prices close to unreasonable. Thank you, Arcadia, for the brewpub. Without the brewpub I may never appreciate Arcadia.

I’ve been a few times on trips out to Michigan to see family. Nice little spot they have. Food is pretty decent and prices are reasonable. Beer-wise, they obviously serve most of their regulars along with a few limited release selections. I would hope for more of the latter, but I was not disappointed with what they had. You can also pick up some beer while you are there. I got a few brewery-only aged Cereal Killer bottles while I was there.

Visited 06/21/2013. Beer Trip 2013 stop #4. The inside is okay. You can see some of the stuff being bottled through some windows, but the bar and tables aren’t arranged well. The servers are good and very knowledgeable. The beer is good, and overall it is a good stop. The food looks great too, but we don’t try any. Hopmouth, Loch Down, London porter all go down smooth. On to Grand Rapids and Founders Brewing Co.

Went on a Saturday night and got there about 8:45. We parked right in front on the street but if it was busy I could see that being an issue. First impression was, meh. Wasn’t too busy and we were greeted quickly. There were a couple larger parties there and we were seated quickly. Seating is a mishmash if different chairs and the tables are whole doors and half doors (4-tops) covered with plexiglass which was... different. Hostess was very friendly but she gave us a food menu before a beer menu. Lol. The server handed us a beer menu and let us know the checked brews (with a grease pencil) were the ones they had on tap. They don’t serve bottled brews they don’t have on tap as I asked for a Big Dick’s Ole Ale but they had none. I wanted a Cereal Killer but it wasn’t one of the choices, so I had the Sky HIgh Rye. Oh yeah, it was tasty and ended up have a couple of those. The food selection broad. Except I wanted Beef brisket which they were out off along with the ribs. I’ve heard they were great. Artichoke dip was amazing. Spicy Wings were huge and great. Cuban Sandwich was perfect. Was reasonably priced. Service was prompt. Pleasing experience overall.

The place itself is kind of a dump. I know they are in the middle of building a new pub in Kalamazoo but dude put some paint on the bathroom door. Pizza is great, beer and selection are great. Value is great but just needs a little sprucing up.
