Tucked away in a corner of a huge industrial complex that now holds a bunch of different tenants from little startups to small manufacturers to NYU offices to this place. I like the old school industrial vibe, and the brewery cat is very friendly. The waitress informed me that the cat is famous and has appeared in books and comics. There is not a lot on offer yet, so it looks like this place is just getting started and/or scratching out a place for itself, but I hope they make it. I met one of the owners once and he struck me as being a good guy. There wasn't a lot on tap, but what I tried was good.

Took me a while to find this one. I was wandering around Industry City for about 20 minutes or so before finding the right elevator. Anyway I found my way into some kind of bar which also works as a taproom for Wartega. Brewery is located in one of the rooms in the hall leading from elevator to the bar. Lineup seems to be in the next room, but since their door was closed couldn't see their equipment. The bar itself looks great with scenic views over Manhattan. Industrial interior, as expected. Quite limited selection, just several taps, I had the Gose which wasn't the exactly the best. The place seems be focused on coffee, cocktails and craft spirits more than beer. Also they did have some bottles, put me under impression they hopped on the train of weird and expensive beers for the hip crowds. Wasn't too sure about the quality. Industry city is worth checking as it is, so this is just a bonus.

Visited this place but wasn’t sure what to expect. Learned that there are 2 separate breweries sharing one space and one tiny nano system. Oh, and also there is a distillery there as well. Located in what is now known as Industrial City, a part of Brooklyn that has been rehabed a lot. Seems mostly to be designed for commercial businesses in design, construction, and architecture. Place is on the top floor with a beautiful view of the Statue of Liberty, Jersey, Manhattan, and river. Industrial feel, weird ass leftover equipment (chemical hood, dentist lamp), wood tables, one crusty couch, a stage, visible jugs of distill. Cool ass space. Only 4 taps, 2 for each brewery. They make cocktails from the distillery. Beer was very much in need of adjustment to the equipment. But the space is worthwhile to visit.
