Small hidden restaurant in the back of Torst. Nice tasting menu with pretty unique beer pairing, though a bit pricey in comparison to other tasting offerings around the city. Still a really good spot, with a unique Scandinavian menu.

So we went here, and made a mistake in the reservation, but despite being pretty strict according to the homepage, they moved our time without any problems. The place is extremely small, which is very nice, since you get so much attention from both chefs and waiter. Nice furniture, nice hand selected plates and such, very passionate people in general. The first servings were so called snacks, served in a rapid manner, so that we feared the speed of the entire evening would be like that, but after those, it slowed down, we had bigger portions and time to evaluate things before the next serving. The beers were all from bottles/cans, and was incredibly well paired with the food. The fact that they selected the beers according to it’s age, and not just took whatever from the taps was a big up for me. Even though i always believed in beer, i got enlightened by how well a strong sour red/brown could go with a great piece of red meat. After the dinner we ordered a couple of beers from the taps, and had a long chat with the staff, mostly chef Daniel. Only real downside to this experience was the rapid serving and the even faster presentation of both food and beers. We barely heard anything, but at least they gave us a fine note about all the dishes and all the beers when we left. All in all a great experience.

Possibly the best culinary experience I’ve had in my life. The food was coming out fast which is what you want for a dego. The beers were matched perfectly. The food literally tasted like the beer you were drinking. The chefs would explain every dish and the service was immaculate. A MUST in Brooklyn

In a lot of ways an amazing place, and Tørst "just outside" is awesome. Still, I can’t help but feel a bit underwhelmed. Especially since I’m writing this up following a visit to Øl & Brød and a Hill Farmstead tasting menu... BUT, I have to say that the menu was very nice but there was no exceptional course, no signature dish. The main course (lamb) in particular felt a bit simplistic when we visited. There was ample beer however, and being there with someone who didn’t drink I’d basically get to finish six or seven hefty beers on my own. Generous, but a bit too much. All of the beer was European, so I suppose that part of the menu will only be exciting for Americans, and the actual beers served didn’t feel that exotic. Although it was nice to finish the meal with a Thomas Hardy’s...

Came for my birthday dinner. small space behind Torst with similar decor. Super friendly service they spoke about each beer that was paired and my wife got non-alcoholic pairing and they made drinks with celery, beets, cucumber, etc and spoke equally as enthusiastic about those which was really nice. Also for beer pairing they give you full bottles so you get plenty good and tipsy. Food was fantastic and satisfying you didn’t leave hungry at all. Modern Scandinavian in Brooklyn, really good.

Excellent tasting menu. Small but functional. You wouldn’t even know this place was there from the bar at Torst. The food was really tasty, flavorful, and perfect portion sizes. The beer pairing was excellent as well. You could tell some thought went into it. The open kitchen allows for interaction with the chef and his team. Completely unique and totally worth the visit. Prices are pretty reasonable considering all that you get.

Small restaurant behind the Tørst bar. Open kitchen. Ambitious menu, very modern, lots of fish and veggies, mixing new Nordic and modern American. Wonderful beer pairings. The chef and his team is very efficient, very attentive and -dare I say it - earnest. There are plenty of good restaurants in New York, but none like Luksus. Excellent.
