60 Stopped by Muz’s a year or so ago to have a beer and check this place out. Not much of a beer selection, but the service is great, and the prices can’t be beat (especially for Mt. Lookout). I think it’s under new ownership and management now, and I’m nit sure if they changed the name, but I know it’s still open (although I don’t think the open until later on in the afternoon daily). A good dive bar though, and unsuspected in this part of town. |
86 Great hidden gem in Mt.Lookout. Great pours and they do not kill your pocketbook. Always a favorite bar of mine!! |
58 Muz’s looks dumpy, small, and literally like a hole in the wall from the outside, but the inside is a little bigger than I had expected. It’s clean enough, well-lit enough, and has enough stuff going on that keeps it from being the diviest of dives. A few flat screens to watch games, a popcorn machine, bar games like darts and Golden Tee, and a surprisingly high ceiling. Anyway, the selection here isn’t much to speak of but there is the occasional surprise. The bartenders were as nice as could be, probably because I went their with a mutual friend. A good reprieve from the more pretentious east side bars or more crowded and expensive Mt. Lookout bars. |
68 This place is a hole in the wall, but they have cheap beer. Nothing really special as far as beers go, but the did have S N Pale Ale for $1.50. Service is great, the place is not too crowded, but it is not very big either. |
