This is a brewery in transition. There was only 1 Zauber beer on tap when I visited and the other beers were just listed by style (I believe there were 5). The beers were ok (witbier and ESB). There is a bar and long German style tables, also an outdoor seating area. I happened to stumble here on a Sunday afternoon during a Premier League game and the place was filled with Tottenham fans watching the game. There actually was not a seat inside and it was a fairly raucous environment. Probably a little different from its typical environment I guess. Overall, I was a little put off by the atmosphere as a non soccer fan and the beers were fairly basic and non-impressionable. Perhaps this place will make it as a soccer bar, but unclear if it will remain a beer destination given the quality of beers I sampled.

Visited in early August 2017 as the brewpub was in transition under new ownership. Both Zauber brews (3) and 4 new beers, as well as several other local beers, were on tap. I anticipate that the Zauber beers will soon be gone. Exceptionally friendly staff were clearly customer oriented. The taproom remains a center for futbol fans.

Visited 5-14-17. Impressive hours to say the least...lol. Their tap list was alright, had a nice array of different style but beers were hit or miss. Bartenders were nice and helpful.

Since my last rate they have ramped up their beer and have become a fun, German kinda theme tap room. Fun gathering place with good beer. Parking still sucks. --- This is a nice room with communal tables, but no food. Parking was a hassle on Saturday night and the bar tender said if i wanted any Zauber beer I needed to be here on a Thursday when it gets released. They did have a good selection of other Columbus micros and other guest beers. My beer was pretty expensive. I’m not used to breweries not having any of their own beers. There are better beer bars in Columbus.

Visited on a Thursday evening. German themed brewery. 5 beer flights available. Mostly german beers styles, and mostly done pretty well to style. Long wooden tables for seating in the brewery, similar to places in Germany. The food available was Mexican, which is kind of a weird mix with german beer, but pretty decent nachos. This place didn’t necessarily blow my mind, but it was a very solid german-themed brewery, which is a nice thing to have in any city.

Visited early on a Saturday. Their door said they open at 7 AM every day. Wow! I suppose that could just be for the coffee shop portion, but when we went in and asked about beer, that was not a problem. They had some Bundesliga on the televisions, so I think they are normally open at this hour, maybe the patrons don’t typically ask for beer though. I thought it was great that they are also a coffee shop. Really great coffee, too. They are very proud of their coffee as well, and deservedly so. It was delicious. The beer here is pretty heavily influenced by the German styles. 4 of the 5 in the flight I had were German styles. I enjoyed that a lot. You don’t see it enough in new breweries. They managed to nail the styles they were making, too. Great examples of everything. I will return next time I am close.

Great place in Columbus Oh. They have a short but fierce beer menu of their own beers I recommend a vertical and the berzerker. They also have a short but fierce guest tap selection. Looks awesome, but we came in on Monday when they wer looks awesome, but we came on a Monday when they weren’t serving food. Nice patio and great service.

Have had their brew on tap around town, but finally getting to the source. Nice setup - wide open with big communal tables and a long bar. There was a fire pit outside and a private party in a big room in the back. They had 8 or so of their own beers on, a few other locals and local liquor. No food, but I believe they have food trucks often. Comfortable and laid back overall.

One of my favorite bars. Great ambience, big tables inside and tables outside on the (new) patio. They have food trucks that rotate daily and they will bring your food inside to you. They have all their beer on tap all the time now, and selections of other local breweries. They also have wine and mixed drinks for your friends who are mistaken and don't like beer.

Zauber Brewing has recently moved to a new location on 5th Avenue a couple blocks off Olentangy River Road. There is a small lot in back and there is street parking available on .Delashmut. The interior is one open room, with picnic table seating immediately past the entrance and the bar in the rear. Neutral tones on the walls (grays/browns) with painted cinder blocks on one wall, and hanging incandescent lights. Large windows allow a view out to 5th Street. There are chalk boards behind the brushed metal bar displaying the beers (which they had run out of during their soft opening) and specials. A couple TVs behind the bar as well.

Zauber has around 15 taps, and again they had completely sold all of their own beers during the soft opening. However they plan on having around half the lines devoted to their brews. They also have sampler flights. The Zauber beers I have tried to date are generally German styles and have all been decent. Growlers are available at the bar and at a separate growler station. As far as guest taps, they had beers from North High, Four String, Goose Island, Southern Tier, Lagunitas and Bells.I did not note any bottles.

Service on a weekday evening at the bar was good. The bartenders were excited about the new venture and familiar with the portfolio of beers, and were friendly..

Zauber does not have food, but regularly have food trucks stationed outside.

All in all Zauber is another worthwhile addition to the continually expanding Columbus brewing scene.
