68 A small brewery with a small but nice tasting room. Unfortunately the cooler was not working so no taps for me. I did get to try their spirits though which they will let you sample for free. Mead, beer and spirits, none of which are done exceptionally well. Call ahead and make sure they have stuff to sample. |
72 This is a pub with a little brewery attached. Apparently when we visited the brewery had recently been expanded to included a cozy, natural wood finished retail space and tasting room. It has a very welcoming feel, and the aroma of brewing beer was euphoric! The owner and brewer were very helpful and pleasant to chat with. The beers from this brewery have consistently been underwhelming, but I must say that trying them fresh at the source was an improvement-- especially for the mead. Definitely a worthwhile stop. |
64 Been here some time ago. Place is bit out of the way. Service was attentive and care for customers. Good place to pick up seasonals. |
62 Stopped by here towards the end of the day. No one was around at the time but eventually a person appeared to help us out. The food offerings are sparse but the tap selection seems to cover most of the spectrum. Of note are the fact that the 15% ABV limited releases are only $2 CAD per 200ml - far cheaper than I expected. This might be the same cost as the LCBO but going to the source is much easier.
I don’t know that this would ever become a go to destination but if I lived in the area it might make a nice place to stop after work. The biggest issue is probably the limited hours and location. Tucked away in an industrial park this might be tough to locate if you do not know the area. |
72 Visited on a Saturday afternoon in October, a bunch of patrons were sitting around the bar and cheered upon our arrival to the otherwise quiet room. Very friendly staff provided us with commentary and pretzels and toast with our sampler and pint. About a dozen beers are on the menu but only half were available: fairly solid with the craziest being the Critical Mass. Ambiance is very log cabin-esque where you can hear bottles rattling in the back and water running from the aquarium. A great stopover on our way to Burlington. |
70 Some food here and a small pub to try the Trafalgar beers. Always a few on. Not a bad stopover. |
72 Taps are all Trafalgar Ales and Meads. Curious to try the mead on draft actually... Food is simple but tasty. I enjoyed the Bock with a beef dip sandwich on beer bread which was quite nice and fairly reasonably priced. 12 oz draft was only $3. Smallish cozy pub is well adorned and pretty nice. Sort of odd neighbourhood to find it, but that’s Oakville for ya! Definitely worth checking out if you are in the neighbourhood. |
