68 I was sorry to see this place has closed because I really liked it and it was a chance to see an “alternative” area of town. Moreover, Harry (who kindly escorted us round the best bars in Toronto) had his own chair there.

56 Decent selection of unusual, imported and special Ontario beers. Place has greasy floors, no flow or vibe to it and the food tends to be kind of mushy bland and boring. Worst: servers forgetting you exist for hours unless you send up an emergency flare, or else hover right at the bar. Best: good front patio for people watching while being ignored by servers. I had some good times there chatting with some of you. |
78 Nice tap selection, cask ale friendly, and good food. |
72 A small restaurant-like bar near College Street. It was really dark inside - the lamps they had just didn’t seem to be emitting much light. The draught list is fairly short, all Canadian beers, but an interesting amalgamation with enough different styles to choose from. Although this place serves beer, it is not a beer destination, and mostly it is all about the burgers. The burgers are pretty awesome - I had the Brunch burger (really really good) and my husband’s Lamb Burger was also excellent. So come here for the burgers and enjoy a craft beer at the same time. |
68 Plenty of seating on the outdoor patio for better weather but plenty of seats inside as well. Service was great and knowledgeable staff on hand. Menu was sufficient and burgers were great and sloppy. At least 8 taps of local craft brews and large steins of draft available. |
72 Mid sized bar on busy Augusta avenue. Bit dark but with interesting vibe to it. You eaither like it or hate it. Beer list was fairly solid with over 20 taps. Service was neutral. Average process. |
60 Had a few pints on the patio, great spot for people watching of the always interesting Kensington people. Was there on a Sunday afternoon, so I can’t really say much about the atmosphere inside the bar. All in all, a decent place I’d happily go back to. |
76 Popped in for lunch. Nice spot in Kensington market. Hand pumped taps, which i loved. Nice selection of ontario casks, no macro brews on the beer list.Lots of tasty grass fed burgers and they take pride in serving tasty classic pub fare. I’d happily return. |
78 A good cozy place to get a drink. They do a good job of getting new stuff - most of the beers I had here were more or less new, or at least mostly unrated. Good service, and got pretty busy on a saturday night. |
78 Went in for lunch. Good tap selection of ontario micros, 8 taps. Ecclectic western hipster decor, friendly staff nice surroundings. The fod is great, the bunch burger ( fried egg, bacon, maple syrup) was outstanding. I would go back in a heartbeat. |
