Good selection, but prices on singles seemed quite high. I found a few of my wants, however, as well as some obscure beers.

Odd location, odd set up, this is a fish out of water. The selection is pricey in comparison with Giant Eagle, but impressive compared with Brews Brothers. Great depth and size. Huge wooden rack and several coolers full. Great selection on tap with a nice balance of stand by’s vs. seasonals. For all the odd appearances of this joint, I ended up really enjoying it. Give it a chance!

This is an example of the whole being more than the sum of its parts. Ambiance in the place is okay, you sit on wooden stools around tables made from barrels (a little unique I guess). It kind of reminds me of sitting in a buddy’s garage drinking beer and watching football or NASCAR on TV. The only thing missing is him working on his ’76 Cutlass. The food selection is limited to some German wurtzes and other wraps. The wait staff is usually pretty freindly however there are times you’d be better off grabbing a bottle and going to the bar rather than wait on them to come by and open it for you. And the hours can leave you wanting sometimes (10PM on weekdays, 11 Fri & Sat & 7 on Sun). It’s the selection that makes this place stand out. The one wall is entirely filled with coolers with a selection ranging from local micro’s to American micro’s to European (and Belgian) imports. The other wall is lined floor-to-ceiling with non-cooler bottles available for takeout. The cold ones are available for takeout also but the non-cooler selection is quite impressive. And for a bottleshop that’s what the determining factor is I guess, the selection. They offer a fairly comfortable setting to enjoy a wide variety of beers.

The place is in a little strip mall and it is very much rectangular. Stand-up coolers and wooden shelfing line the walls and are usually packed full of beers... decent selection of micros, good amount of imports and Belgians. About 8-10 taps which don’t vary often and are not very interesting. Same bartender/waitress is there every time I have gone. She is alright, not overly bubbly. Food is bad, no selection, don’t go there to eat. I swear they only have a microwave. Good place to mix and match a 6 pack though. -Sincerely

Great selection of bottles. I love that they’re on display... makes it alot easier. Service was slow, not too friendly. Only a few selections on tap, though they were good. Good food too. The dumb thing was that it was in a shopping center type environment, dumb! Hopefully they’ll get better location sometime. Good place though.

I’m from Pittsburgh, but I now live in Utah, and now I realize what I’ve been missing! What a place. Beer everywhere. More than 500 beers, a bunch of great domestics avery, bells, victory, and a ton of imports. The staff and owner are awesome and knowledgeable. The menu has some good Pittsburgh food try the Bratwurst is was great. Overall, awesome and friendly. Not a beer store, much more like a awesome hang out. Tastings every Thursday. I went here again; still a awesome selection of singles. Expedition Stout for 3.50$- not too bad.

The guys working there have a lot of knowledge. I’ve been there 3 times to buy six pack varieties, and they’ve always been happy to help with recommendations and explanations. I’m hoping that they will someday expand by knocking down one of the neighboring walls in this mini-strip mall. Right now, it gets too crowded for me since it’s so small. They could use another TV or 2 for Pens games (and other sporting events). But these guys seem pretty serious about their business, so I’m sure they’re evaluating the need (if any) for possible expansion. I’m just very glad that there’s a place this close to me with such a giant variety of beers. Oh... they also have free beer tastings on Thursdays. Nice.

This is an interesting bottle shop located in a busy strip mall off route 88. Has 4 taps but only 2 were working when I visited, one of which was Lindeman’s Framboise. On a Saturday afternoon, it was not too busy. Their selection of bottles is quite wide, I saw beers there that I have yet to see at other bottle shops including Vintage Estates. One thing tho, by Beaver County standards the prices are quite high $15 min per six pack of domestic micros. A single bottle of Lindeman’s 12 oz was $10. The least expensive micro bottle was $3. I guess by Pittsburgh and Bethel Park standards the prices are normal. The girl running the cash register was very helpful and had a beautiful smile but lacked just a tad on the beer knowledge. Overall, if you are looking for that special beer, give this place a try, you’ll be surprised! Didn’t have any food this time round.

Very nice bottle shop with a good selection. Nice owner and cute waitresses. It is a good place to enjoy a beer if your in the South Hills, although it does get crowded and has limited seating.

Grand opening is in January but got a sneak peek last night. Owner is not only very knowledgable, but a great conversationalist. They did’t have food yet and only had 600 (!) bottles available but this has promise to be the best bottle shop in the city. Will give full review after grand opening.
