What they say: "Melody’s Tavern features an extensive menu of pub fare in an unmatched historic ambiance, which includes rich mahogany paneled walls, ornamental plaster ceilings and towering stained glass windows. Enjoy our extensive wines-by-glass selection, small distillery whiskeys, specialty martinis, and Happy Hours every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM with drink specials and complimentary hors d’oeuvres.” I agree with all of that except for these so called - "Free hors d’oeuvres.” The website says Free hors d’oeuvres.” but when you ask the bartender he says that there are none. I had a Victory HopDevil while there - it was NOT on the happy hour special - but I was not complaining-it wnt down well. I enjoyed my cheesesteak, my wife enjoyed her quesadilla and I think that they have some of the very best french fries I have ever had. I will be back for more! The bar is a beutiful historic room with wonderful wood work and a real - oak bar. Two nice tvs with ESPN on with the sound up! Nice big old windows open to the street outside.A very warm feeling to enjoy a cold one. The selection is limited, but the feeling is right.
