Visited the place a few times in 2009. The location is quite remote but this is really close to my parent’s house. I like to go there. We were almost always the only customers. Never ate there so I can’t talk about their food. Service is good, they have the appropriate glass for almost all their beers. This is a place where you can have a beer and fell like you are at home with your friends in your kitchen. They also have a patio. Price is quite high but considering what they offer, its ok. (Typically 8-9$ for 33cl Rochefort, Westmalle and others and some like Tuverbol can hit 15$ for 37.5 cl). They only place coming close to this place (as far as their beer selection) in Quebec city is Pub St-Alexandre and they don’t have such a good selection. I’ve been told that its better when Gilbert is there.

A wonderful bed and breakfast located minutes for the old city. Wonderful beer selection and excellent Belgian style cuisine.

This place is the place if you want to drink and talke about good to excellent Belgium beers. The owner knows his what he is talking about. I have been there twice and each time was a great experience. And by the way the mussles are super great.

This place is a heavensend for us Quebecers trapped by the monopolistic, uncaring, governmental liquor store system. The owner is so passionate about Belgian beer, he goes through many hassles to actually get a stunning Belgian beer menu even though the SAQ (the monopolistic entity) sure tries to discourage him. Always ready to share his passion and his beers, this place is a must for dinner or lunch and 2 or 3 Belgian staples and even rarities.
