Nice little bar that spills out into the plaza for a real cozy and local feel. Great service and a well curated tap list. No flights and only a few taps, but they are adding 6 more which souls make them a bit more competative with the other big boys.
Nice lineup of about eight taps, almost all local beer, some brewed for the bar itself. I tried their stout and it was fine. They had a keg of Dougall IPA on the counter when I was there for cask pours. Food looked good, busy staff a bit overworked perhaps. Plenty of beer geeks it seemed, easy to meet people at small bar. Tables in back. 5-6 euros/UK pint.
RBESG 2016. This is where I left the rest of the RBESG party, to continue on a short beach holiday in Arenys de Mar. After a a rough bus ride I needed two glasses of real lemonade (well made!) to recover. But they sure do have beer too, a decent selection.
Visited on Sunday 10th July 2016 with the RBESG guys. Situated on a small unassuming plaza it looks nothing from the outside. Auburn haired young lady fronting the place on our visit: loves the town of Wigan (ask her yourself why). Once inside you squeeze past the bar area on your left and it opens out into a larger drinking area: loved the ’mural’ on the wall, Ape to Man with beer. Proper boozer and friendly staff. As mentioned by ’Maakun’ they even took us round to their closed bottle shop for us to see and purchase some brews, which some of us did. Their bottle shop is almost exactly opposite our next port of call: ’La Gorda Beer Factory’.
Not too big nice looking cosy pub, their beer menu is really well done and is a little work of art. They had one of their own beers when we were there and some guest. Also bottles but I don’t think they were cooled. There was some food but I didn’t try any. Really, really friendly service, they even took us to the bottle shop which was closed and opened it for us. Very cosy and friendly place.
