78 Good beer selection. Good food. Horrible pricing on brews. If this were Map Room, Hopleaf, etc. I could understand. But this is far too removed from downtown for these kinds of prices. It’s unfortunate too, since I work very close to both, but find myself frequenting Hailstorm and 350 Brewing more. The value is the only downside, but it’s significant. |
82 Stopped by for a visit which was convenient to friends in the area. Yes, it’s in a strip mall, but they did a lot of work on the interior to make it feel like a "brewpub". Tables are close yet cozy, bathrooms are clean but a little stark. Beer selection crosses most palates, if you like hops, malts, sours, fruits, you’re sure to find something. I had no problem sticking with Tribes’ Sapphire Sky Saison while I also tried my wife’s How’s Your Father ESB which was also well-made, to-style and sessionable. Food was pretty darn good for "pub-grub". I had the Muffalleta which was a savory, salty heart-attack in a sandwich (exactly as I expected)! My wife had the Chicken Vesuvio which she enjoyed. I had leftovers the next day and they were on-point... well seasoned, plenty of gravy and potatoes which were tender and succulent. Our guests enjoyed their Lobster Roll and another Muffalleta. Story-short... a nice place for above-average food and beer. However, if I’m going to compare apples to apples, I’d recommend Tribes Tinley (10 miles, ~15 minutes NE) which has a more breathable atmosphere with a staffed, outdoor patio. |
82 Good vibe, great tap selection, I had a friend come with me who is a master chef and he liked his dish as I did.
All the four ales I tried were solid. He said the same. G.M. and staff were very nice. I will get other friends to come if they have not before. I will try and visit the other location in Tinley Park, IL. soon |

76 A nice tap house in a strip mall. Induces trail and very local. Friendly service, but not particularly beer forward. Decent menu but I didn’t eat. Tasting flights available from a decent selection of beers from around US but pricy. Not worth a specific trip, but a worthy stop. |
100 It’s not just the beer or food, it’s the people. Tribes has great people! |
100 Weekly tappings of limited/rare releases to go with the other 40+ exceptional beers on tap. Excellent food. Not just the best beer place in the south suburbs but one of the best in all Chicagoland. Also have a strong whisky selection (even did a reasonably priced Pappy tasting once). |

94 Great beer bar in South West Suburbs of Chicago. Usually have a few 3 floyds on tap as well as a killer selection of beer!
Highly recommended! |
86 Really nice beer bar on the southern outskirts of Chicago. I stopped here although out of my way based on the good reviews on RateBeer. I wasn’t disappointed. I do think the overall reviews might be scoring just a bit high...but nonetheless a great beer destination if in the area. I do feel there is some tougher competition if you get closer to or in Chicago though (Hopleaf, Revolution, Map Room, to name a few). Probably my only negative was the food which although certainly not bad...also did not impress. |
