Visited the 19th May 2019 - This restaurant in the city centre of Munich is maybe the best pleasant place to enjoy beer. Very nice old fashioned restaurant full woody and typical decoration with deer antlers. Service is really friendly and really efficient. I really appreciate my time there. Beer selection is only Ayinger, fresh and really tasty. Food is mostly local receipt. And well served for a good value. For sure, next time in Munich, I will visit again.
One of the best traditional pubs in Munich. To find it go the the Hofbrauhaus entrance and turn around and look to the right a bit. Most of the Ayinger beers to be found here when in season. Food is very good and some of the best service in town.
More typically Bavarian with efficient, helpful and cheery wait staff. The food, with a number of typical Bavarian winter dishes, was fresh and tasty and the meal size was very filling. There are about six of their beers available.
Visited twice on the same day. Massively central & right across from tourist ground zero / carnival Hofbräuhaus. Comfy by Bavarian standards, lots of oak & room full of antlers & deer sculls. Friendly & efficient service. Great prices, food is supposedly great but we didn’t eat there. Surprisingly big selection of a bout 6 beers on tap, amazing condition. Great prices. Slightly disappointed that Celebrator is not be found on tap here but apparently that is totally normal. We were informed of a Holzfass being tapped at 17.00 during our visit which is the norm apparently which is a must obv. Impossible to fault a place with beer this good with this condition and prime service.

We visited here Saturday 8th September 2018, it was busy but we managed to grab a table outside. Ayinger Speis und Trank is on
Am Platzl, so it is really pretty central (certainly as far as the Aldstadt/old town is concerned) it is opposite the Hofbrauhaus and just around the corner from the fabulous market. I last visited München in February 2008 (wow can't believe it was ten years ago) with my dad and brother and was sure that I had visited here but don't appear to have done a review despite the fact I reviewed others locally so puzzled now as to whether this is indeed my first visit.
Once you get past the issue that this whole area is tourist central you can really get to like this place. People watching is a brilliant activity and we spent an hour here with one beer both chatting to each other and people watching. Inside its a lovely place lots of wood, spotless absolutely spotless despite the numbers in here. The bar is on the right, for the toilets continue right through to the back of the pub and go downstairs, toilets also fantastically clean. There were about six beers on tap, Loz had the Hefeweizen I had the seasonal offering. Staff despite being rushed off their feet were friendly and worked really hard. I liked this place a lot. The beer is great, location busy but great and its close to just about everywhere centrally.
