Visited several times over the years, still a great hang out spot in Accra. I think this place is ’the’ expat spot in Accra. Located inside the Paloma hotel area which is striking in comparison with the Nima District right next door.
The place is mostly known for its weekly quiz and really the hang out spot for many Western NGOs or business people to come hang with some locals.
In comparison to your ’typical’ Ghanaian bar this one definitely has a more European feel with plenty of Tvs, big screens showing a variety of sports.
The food has a tex-mex approach with some local dishes and daily menu.
The beer list is not phenomenal but it carries enough pale lagers to give you a hangover after a quiz or footbal night, and it was the only spot in Ghana where I found a beertower.
Prices are on the upside for Ghana, which means it remains fairly cheap. In general, you can expect to sped a good 15-20 cedis on food depending of the order and maybe the same amount for several beers, which might run between 15-20$.
Atmosphere is fun, and the service is typical of Ghana and Africa in general, so don’t stress if your food might not be what you ordered or takes a long time to be ready.
I’d say it is a good spot to visit especially if you are missing home or are not into the club scene. In my case, it was a good rest after having spent several weeks in the Upper East region.
